Bracing yourself for the journey ahead,
Flipping the page for the story to be read!

The impact of entering not to sudden and hard,
Dissolving into the pages like an open greeting card!

Meeting mythical creatures, some friends other foes;
Sometimes entering battles with arrows and bows!

The experience so realistic, it's better than screens;
Reading at your pace with some bagel and cream!

All day long with the book in your lap,
Eyes still skimming the words, skipping your nap!

Friends made real, you fear their loss;
At the end you find out who's the real boss!

A few ships sailing but not technically,
The giant fan base, building eventually!

The stories so good, the imagination profound;
It leaves you escatic or heartbroken but totally bound!

All this takes place on a weary couch,
Who knows the remote could be forgotten in the sofa's pouch??
