A day recalled a year back,
When I came back from school and threw the sack.
Completely blind by the hidden truth,
The theft of the precious fruit.

A crying misery, I couldn't see.
I stared off in space wanting to flee.
But the blood chains kept me in place,
It was as if I was the one to face.

Not knowing how to comfort the one,
The crisis was already over and done.
Not wanting to cry in front, on the floor,
The deed was done behind the door.

The truth spoken, changing the blood,
All my beliefs of childhood went with the flood.
What I imagined was an insecure child,
Stood before my an adult, well tiled.

Wondering how the suffering they faced,
That was something which really left me fazed...
