Has anyone ever thought
If not wanting more?
Has anyone ever bought
The truth of this to the core?

You never get all you wish
You may get all you need
But was if all of it is like an already caught fish
A sweet fruit to my deed?!

The forefathers before me
Strived hard, yet what did they get?
Ultimately, who had the 'rich' key?
To go ahead like hope on jet?

Alas as the events unfold
Maturity ripens to yield a fruit
Slowly, gradually, life becomes bold
Realising the importance of the existing root

Still the feeling lingers behind
Am I really worth all this?
Strong bonds and people so kind
Oh no wait! I hear the hiss

But still in the glassy world I live
Getting all the comforts I wish
I reap, and reap and I give
Something I hope my forefathers wished...
