"I'm really sorry for hitting you with my ball! I'll do anything to pay you back." He apologized.
"P-please d-don't bow, I'm fine really. Look I'm alive, ain't I?" I stuttered but still tried to end it with a reassuring smile.
"Are you sure? I really feel bad and I even made you bleed, I'm so sorry." He bowed again.
"I'm fine and I'm definitely sure about this. If you feel that bad, can you at least give me your name? I would love to make a new friend."
That was smooth Lisa, nice job,I thought.
He held a hand out for a handshake while smiling,
Shit his smile is to die for.
"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet have I? My name is Chittaphon-"
"I'm sorry, Chitta- what?"
He chuckled, smiling once again making my heart flutter.
"Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul. Yeah, I know it's long. Everyone calls me Ten for short."
He gestured towards his extended arm and I shook it. Wow, that's one rough hand.
"I'm just really curious... are you new in this school? If you feel uncomfortable answering the question, you don't have to. I don't want to intrude your privacy." He scratched the back of his head.
"No, it's okay really. And to answer you, no, I'm not new. I've been here since the beginning of the year."
"How come I've never noticed you? You're too pretty to be unnoticed." Ten stated so sincerely, I almost started to think I really was pretty.
Heat rushed to my cheeks and I'm sure I look like a tomato now. I look down to hide my face and answered, "Thanks but you see... I've always liked being low-profile. Walking through the school corridors unnoticed by the hundreds of students rushing to get to class on time. Going to my locker without any problems, eating at lunch alone while listening to music and watching the leaves dance with the wind, it kinda became my daily routine. I feel at peace this way."
He just sat there, nodding at my words, silent.
"Sorry, did I talk too much?"
"Not at all! I'm actually happy that you opened up to me." He smiled.
