"Shut up! I want to drink till I die! Stop caring for me! I accused you of something you didn't even do. I feel like I'm going to die of embarrassment!" Yuta admitted.
Jisoo's face softens due to her boyfriend's sudden confession. They had a fight beforehand because Yuta accused of her of cheating when she was simply discussing a meeting with her colleague. "I told you that it's okay, I forgive you alright? Now get up and let's go home."
He nods and gets up. Jisoo had already paid for the bill and brought Yuta to her car.
While driving, she noticed that Yuta had been feeling a bit nauseous and looked like he was about to vomit all over her car. Dropping by a convenience store she bought two bottles of a hangover drink and a bottle of water. Yuta chugged the 3 bottles and fell deeply asleep.
Arriving safely at their shared flat, Jisoo was too tired and didn't have enough strength to carry him until the bedroom so she just let him sleep on the couch.
Two weeks later, everything was going on smoothly as if nothing happened between them at all. That is until Jisoo's ex-boyfriend of 3 years, Kim Doyoung, reappeared in the picture. Being Jisoo's first love, he could easily enter and exit her life, which was one of Jisoo's so-called toxic traits that Yuta was willing to wait for her to fix. However Yuta had had enough when Doyoung "willingly" ruined Yuta's plans of proposing to Jisoo by third-wheeling on each date. Jisoo was oblivious and simply enjoyed the company of her old best friend.
Yuta decided that he will take the matters in his hands.
One night, he sat beside Jisoo, saying "We have to talk." Emphasizing on the word have. Jisoo was surprised more than she would like to admit. She's never heard him talk with such a serious tone.
"S-sure. What is this about?" she answered while switching the TV off.
"It's about Doyoung."
"And what about him?" Jisoo was clearly confused. Why would he want to talk about her best friend?
Yuta sighs. "Can't you see that he's trying to tear us apart?" Seeing his girl's still confused expression, he cupped his face and rubbed it. "God, Jisoo why are you so naïve?" He mumbled. But she clearly heard it and it pissed her off. She did not like his tone one bit. "What do you mean by that?" she said angrily.
"Nevermind. You won't believe me anyways." He stood up and left her hanging in the living room. Jisoo was not having it anymore. She didn't like being belittled like that. How does he know she won't believe him if he hadn't told her anything in the first place?
