After our date at the ice cream shop, I sent her home. When I arrived at my house the first thing I did was call my real girlfriend. Yeah, that's right. I'm just using Jennie. My company has been suffering too much losses this past year and I can't just let us go downhill like this. If this persists, my agency might go bankrupt soon. I hate myself for doing this but she is the only solution to this problem.
"Babe?"
I snapped back to reality when I heard my girl's voice on the phone.
"Hey there Rosie. My plan was successful, she thinks that I still love her."
"Nice. You're such a good actor, you did well babe."
"Well my girlfriend's a good teacher so..." I heard her chuckle on the other side of the line. "By the way, do you wanna come over? I want to have an early celebration."
"Sure. I'm coming in an hour. I still have to finish a few things."
"Ok see you soon. I love you!"
"I love you too!"
She hung up and I put my phone down with a wide smile plastered on my face.
You must be wondering on how I ended up with Rose. Well, it all started when Jennie dumped me. I went to Roseanne's place thinking that maybe Jennie would be staying with her best friend. To my surprise, she didn't know either. In the times where we left in the dark, we had each other to lean on. She was always by my side when I needed someone to talk to and she's the one who encouraged me to take the business path. She was more than willing to help me get back on my feet and at one point we just knew that we were made for each other.
One day, Jennie contacted her for the first time telling her that she entered a prestigious business school in another city. Roseanne wanted to be with her best friend and I understood her feelings. I let her go but we stayed together. Occasionally, I would go visit her and every time she had to lie Jennie because we've decided to keep our relationship a secret to prevent any awkwardness or hate between her and Jennie.
Rose knew about my company's state and she has made a really tough decision by accepting my plan. She's a lovely girl and she would never do anything to hurt her childhood friend. The fact that she's stabbing her friend on the back is making me feel bad about bringing her in this mess. I just want a good future, for us, for our kids. Roseanne is the woman of my dreams and I want to spend my life with her.
