"From his perfect winter blue eyes, to his intricately sculpted jawline, all the way down to his...😏... strong, firm, eight pack; he was perfection personified. Mountain Ridge was my dream guy, he was a greek god."
^my face throughout this entire ordeal
Sigh... I can't even count how many times I've read this in a book.
Why do the main guys always have to be literal perfection? I'm getting tired of it, honestly. And the thing is, most of the time these "greek gods" are like seventeen.
Most seventeen year old guys, are pimple-faced and going through awkward puberty. This isn't me being judgemental. It's just the truth.
NO HIGHSCHOOLER HAS AN EIGHT PACK. IM SORRY. IT'S JUST NOT THERE.
THIS
THIS IS REALISTIC ^
THIS v
THIS IS NOT!!!!!No. No matter how much you try and convince me. Brody from Chemistry class does not look like that.
I'm not saying you can't make you're characters attractive. I'M SAYING BE REALISTIC.
Me, personally. I love making my casts realistic to their age and their roles. Not every girl is a high fashion model with a drop dead gorgeous bone structure. And not every guy is a greek god sculpted by the heavens to be a perfect specimen.
And most of the time it's not only the main guy that is walking perfection. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERY PERSON IN CAST IS JUST FLAWLESS GORGEOUS DROP DEAD HUMANS THAT ARE TEN YEARS OLDER THAN THE CHARACTERS THEIR CAST AS.. Guys and girls.
Everybody is equally beautiful. Everybody.
So why is everybody's cast your typical A-List models?
Have some diversity. Have some difference. PLEASE.
I'M TIRED 😣 SO TIRED.
Kay, I'm done. Peace, homies.
Comment rant ideas, please 👀 I'm running low on inspo.
