A book in which I rant about things on Wattpad and in everyday life. I have alot of things to vent about so why not vent my frustrations to a bunch of strangers on Wattpad?

Okay. I'm going to start off by saying I appreciate every single person that reads my books. Even though most of them are as silent as my left elbow, I still appreciate them.
BUT. It really grinds my gears when a reader emerges from their everlasting silence just to leave this particular comment.
"Update"
Just one two-syllable word.
Am I happy that they liked my chapter enough to want another one? The answer is yes.
But come on now, people. You leaving that comment means you have internet. Which means you have the ability to hit that little star in the corner, or at least leave an actual comment that let's me know how you feel about my story.
"Update" 👈🏽 that has about as much emotion as Plank from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
Just a simple 😁 would've made it a more acceptable comment.
I'm just saying, why leave a comment at all? It's not like I'm going to change anything about my update schedule (super crappy and unorganized) just because you left that comment. It literally did nothing for me.
One day I was feeling a little petty so when another person commented
"Update"
(not even any punctuation😭)
I replied...
"Vote"
I know, I know...
You guys: "Tori, why would you do that?! Obviously, the reader just wants you to put out more content because they enjoy it!"

If you enjoy my story, let me know by saying so. Don't just leave a monotone comment that won't effect me or put a smile on my face in any shape or form.
Am I being blunt? Maybe.

I just want to clarify once more, I appreciate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY READERS. Does that mean I won't get irritated by something they do? No.
Also, I won't get irritated if you ask me to update with a little more personality in your comment. Those are welcome. But please don't leave one like I showed above. It just feels like an order instead of a request. You know what I mean? 🤔
