A Twist in Time (1)

Chapter Seven

"JAMES SIRIUS POTTER YOU FOOL THAT WAS A TIME TURNER, TIME TURNERS ARE MEANT FOR TIME TRAVEL!" Albus yelled as he approached the situation.

"ROSE TOLD ME TO DROP IT!" James said trying to defend himself from his sibling. White smoke was now issuing from the broken time turner until it opened up and sucked James in first as he was the closest, then it was Teddy, Albus, Rose, Lily, and Hugo. They all landed on a large pile on the floor of what seemed to be the east wing of Hogwarts. James was the first to get up off the floor and look around.

"How did we get to Hogwarts?" James asked his family confused by what was going on.

"You idiot we just traveled back in time!" Rose explained frustrated and angry.

"You better hope Dumbledore was Headmaster at this time. Otherwise, we are absolutely screwed," Teddy told the group. Everyone stood up and the group started toward the headmaster of Hogwarts office. As they reached the office they knocked on one of the sides of the stone Gargoyle. The gargoyle sprung to the side revealing the doors to the Headmasters office. They climbed the stairs to the top of the tower which held the headmaster's office. Sitting in a chair behind his desk with a Phoenix on a stand next to him was none other than Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.

He looked up as he heard the kids approach. He looked slightly puzzled only slightly as Albus Dumbledore was never fully puzzled. 

"And who might you be?" Dumbledore asked in his usual calm voice.

"Hello, Professor before we answer that do you mind me asking what year it is?" Teddy asked Dumbledore calmly.

"It's September 2nd, 1995," Dumbledore answered stroking Fawkes the Phoenix.

"Then Professor there is something we need to tell you. We are from the future, 2020 to be precise. I am Teddy Tonks Lupin, I am in my seventh year and I'll let the others introduce themselves."

"I am James Sirius Potter the one and only!" James said with a bow.

"Really another James Potter in two days? My, my," Dumbledore said quietly.

"What do you mean another James Potter? I am the one and only!" James asked Dumbledore confused by the statement the man had made.

"I'm afraid you lot aren't the only time travelers that I've met in the last twenty-four hours, finish introducing yourselves," Dumbledore answered.

"Okay well, I'm Rose Weasley," Rose told the older wizard.

"I'm Albus Potter," Albus told the older Albus.

"Full name Albus," James told his younger brother.

"Fine, my name is Albus Severus Potter," Albus mumbled looking down. Dumbledore simply nodded a look shock on his face. 

"I'm Lily Luna Potter, I'm the youngest of the Potter family," Lily told the older Professor.

"I'm Rose Weasley," Rose told Dumbledore.

"I'm Hugo Weasley."

"I promised you lot a story. Here it is, just yesterday I found five other time travelers from the past, James Potter, Lily Evans, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. They traveled from the past to this year as well, you will stay in your common rooms, however, Albus and Lily you will need to make fake first names, James you are okay because no one will be suspicious if there are two James's its a fairly common name. However the Potters do resemble Harry a lot... it should be fine, however, he isn't the most observant. Well, what houses are you in?" Dumbledore told the whole lot of them.

"Were all in Gryffindor," Teddy told them.

"Well that's convenient, isn't it. So what are your fake names?" Dumbledore asked Lily and Albus.

"My name will be Clara," Lily told Dumbledore.

"I'll be Aiden and I was just thinking shouldn't we change our last name from Weasley and Potter?" Albus answered after a moment of thought.

"Yes you should, you may all be siblings, think of the last name, Teddy you may think of one but I can see you four are all siblings, even though it may not be by blood. The two Weasley's will also think of a name, it is important that you do not tell your parents or any of their friends. You may tell The Marauders and Lily Evans if you wish, don't tell them how their lives pan out, or when or if they die. Now go to your dorm and say you went to school in America but grew up in England and that's why you have accents," Dumbledore told them gesturing for them to leave his office. 

The group went down the stairs toward the exit and made their way back to the great hall, it was about 6 pm it seemed like from the view outside. 

"James do you have that mirror Dad gave you?" Teddy asked James. "That way we could contact our parents." 

"Well, actually I don't have it. I left it back in our time, I think Lily has her phone that our parents spelled so it would work anywhere even without a cell connection," James told his family.

"Oh ya I think it's in my pocket... but I wouldn't call them now, we should wait until they call, they are still at that banquet," Lily said pulling her phone out of her pocket.

"Your probably right, we'll only worry them," Rose agreed.

As they walked to the Gryffindor Common Room they heard laughter coming from outside, the weather was still warm outside as it was only September 2nd. When they reached the Gryffindor Common Room and gave them the password (Dumbledore gave it to them) but before they opened the portrait Rose stopped them.

"We need last names," Rose told them.

"Right of course," Teddy said thinking of what they could possibly be.

"What about Patterson for Potter and Wilson for Weasley, similar but still not the same," Hugo offered after a moment.

"That's perfect, come on let's go," James said pulling the portrait open. Inside there were eight students sitting on the large chairs and couches. They all turned as the six entered the room. They all stood up and walked over.

"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger and you are," Hermione asked them with a skeptical smile on her face. 

"Hello, I'm Teddy Patterson," Teddy said offering his hand to shake. Hermione shook his hand and turned to James.

"Hi, I'm James Patterson the one and only," James Sirius said with a bow.

"Hello, I'm Aiden Patterson," Albus said,

"Hello, I'm Clara Patterson," Lily Luna told them.

"Hi, I'm Rose Wilson," Rose told the others.

"I'm Hugo Wilson," Hugo said with a nod.

"I'm Harry Potter, it's funny you know just yesterday there was another James who was a new student," Harry said with a slight laugh.

"This is Ron, James, Elena, Riley, Pete, and Sam," Hermione told them motioning to each person in turn.

"Were from an American School we just moved back and we transferred here," Albus told them.
