A Twist in Time (1)

Chapter Ten

It was Teddy who found James Sirius first he was relieved when he saw his adopted brother. "James! Where have you been Clara and Aiden have been worried sick."
"Sorry Teddy I was just out," James told his older brother.

"Out doing what! it's 5 am James! What could you have possibly been doing!" Teddy demanded.

"Sorry Ted, I was just- actually it doesn't really matter what I was doing."

"He was with us," Sirius said trying to defend his friend.

"Fine whatever just don't do it again!" Teddy yelled mad at his idiotic brother.

"I CAN DO WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT!" James Sirius screamed. His sudden outburst caught Teddy by surprise his younger brother was always calm. He kept a calm demeanor when it came to just about everything except for the safety of his little sister, it also caught the attention of everyone else in the boy's dormitory.

"James Patterson! You come back here!" A by this point James Sirius Potter had stormed out of the dormitory.

"I'M JUST GOING TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL!" James Sirius roared.

"We'll talk about this later!" Teddy yelled back at his younger brother.

"I DOUBT THAT" James Sirius yelled back but his voice sounded distant and muffled.

James Sirius was ready for school and headed down for breakfast early. He was soon followed by James, Sirius, and Hugo.

"James!" Hugo yelled trying to catch up with his cousin. 

"What Hugo!" James Sirius asked in an annoyed voice.

"What was up with you and Teddy? Why are you so angry?" Hugo demanded.

"It's none of your business Hugo, now shove off!" James Sirius told his cousin while turning into the Great hall. Most of the teachers were already there, including Dolores Umbridge when she saw the two Harry Potter look alike's. They could have easily have been triplets if you looked at them from a distance. Dolores looked confused and as she didn't know there was another Harry Potter look-alike she thought James Sirius was Harry.

"Harry Potter! How dare you enter the great hall in such a way! Detention for one week!" Dolores Umbridge yelled standing up from her seat at the professor's table. 

"I'm not Harry Potter," James Sirius said annoyed that she thought he was his father. They looked exactly alike except for his eyes and the scar. His eyes were hazel a mix between his mothers and fathers eyes, so really he looked much more like his Grandfather, but his father did look exactly like his father so...

"You must not tell lies! I've told you this before!" Umbridge yelled at the young Potter.

"I'm not Harry Potter."

"Then who are you, Mister Potter? A centaur?"

"I'm James Patterson."

"Don't LIE MISTER POTTER!"

"I'M NOT HARRY POTTER!"

"DETENTION THEN MISTER PATTERSON FOR DISRESPECTING YOUR SUPERIORS YOU WILL JOIN MISTER POTTER FOR DETENTION FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK!" 

"Fine then," James Sirius said taking a seat at the edge of the Gryffindor table. James, Sirius both sat next to him each on one side. Hugo had gone back to the Gryffindor common room probably to tell Teddy about what had just happened. 

"Really got a chip on your shoulder don't you?" Sirius said with a laugh.

"Sometimes." James Sirius answered stuffing his face with food.

"Are you alright now mate?" James asked as he piled food onto his plate. 

"Ya, I'm good. So I hear the Marauders love to pull pranks want to pull one?" James Sirius asked his usual grin spreading across his face.

"We'd love to, can't say the same about Moony and Wormtail their still mad for landing us here," Sirius told James Sirius with a grin.

"Okay," James Sirius answered. "We'll plan it later. We have Defense against the Dark Arts."

"Again? It was brutal when we had it yesterday," James whined annoyed.

"Well, I need to tell you lot something that I need you to promise you won't tell anyone," James Sirius said in a whisper.

"Promise." The two said in unison.

"Okay well, I heard the stories about how you lot became animagus's so I decided to follow suit. What I'm trying to say is... I'm in animagus," James Sirius said in a quiet whisper.

"Really? What do you turn into?" Sirius asked in a whisper as well.

"I turn into a wolf," James answered quietly.

"Cool," James and Sirius said in unison. As they finished talking everyone started coming into the great hall, all the Gryffindors, everyone. Everyone from every house was there. 

"James, Sirius I think I'm going to take a walk care to join me," James Sirius said with a smirk. Just as Teddy tried to sit down across from him.

"We'd love to."

"Jam-" Teddy started. 

"No."

"Where are they going?" Remus asked no one particular.

"Don't know. All I know is that they have been as thick as thieves for about the last 10 hours," Albus answered.

"James is really mad, and that doesn't happen a lot. Does anyone know why he's mad?" Teddy asked Albus and Lily.

"You two honestly don't know anything. He's not mad at you! He's just mad!" Lily Luna tried to explain.

"What is he mad about!" Teddy asked unsure of what Lily Luna was talking about.

"Don't ask me!" Lily Luna said raising her arms in surrender.

Meanwhile...

"Where are we going?" James asked James Sirius.

"I'm going to the forbidden forest, want to come?" James Sirius answered with a sly grin. He ran ahead. He was inhumanly fast. It's proven that sometimes when your an animagus you take on some skills or characteristics that are like the animal you turn into. When James Sirius reached the edge of the forest he jumped and turned into a large light and dark grey wolf. A couple seconds later James and Sirius ran after him, James turning into a Stag and Sirius turning into a great black dog.

James Sirius was waiting just inside the tree line scratching behind his ear. Animagus can talk to each other when they are in their animal form. 

"I do this every morning when I'm at school," James Sirius told the two other boys.  

"We do this too sometimes,"  James told him.

"I'm mad! I'm mad at myself and I'm mad at Teddy. I broke the Time Turner! I sent us back in time! It's my fault that I'm in pain but there is nothing I can do okay? So I'm going to run and I don't care if I'm late for Defense Against The Dark Arts!"  James Sirius said as he ran away.
