How could he be a Horcrux? Could it have happened when Voldemort had just killed him? It seemed unlikely but for all he knew it could be true. Just because Voldemort didn't evaporate off the face of the earth didn't mean that it didn't happen. James stood up and rubbed his still sour back and sighed. What was he going to do? They were taking the Floo Network to N.12 Grimmauld Place. They simply stepped into the nearest fire place one by one until it was only Harry, James and Dumbledore left. Harry wen't next and disappeared into the Green Flames. James didn't say anything and left as soon as Harry had disappeared. James arrived to a room full of people that he knew in different years.
"Hello," James said weakly looking at his hands as he stepped out of the Fireplace. The rest of the Weasley's were their minus Charlie and Percy.
"Why don't you kids come sit down in the kitchen, then everyone can explain what happened," Molly Weasley told everyone as people went into the Dining Room. Hermione, Ron, Harry, Neville and Ginny explained everything. James didn't say much, just after it had happened he was cracking jokes but now what had happened really caught up with him, as Hermione was finishing he tuned back into the conversation.
"Well, then James and Harry were in this whirlwind of crushed glass and then, then-" Hermione said before James cut him off. "And then I died."
"You couldn't have died," someone started but James didn't look up.
"It's true, he was hit by the killing curse, he died and then came back to life," Ron told them in a grave voice.
"How did you come back?" another person asked.
"I don't know," James explained sadly.
"James, you said you would explain everything," Neville told him from two seats over.
"Oh, ya that. Well, I'm not exactly from this Generation," James stated finally looking up at the many people around them.
"Ah, I remember this story. It's a pleasure to see you again James," Sirius said with a smile, remembering meeting James when he was just fifteen. He had nearly forgotten, nearly.
"Hey Sirius," James answered with a slight smile.
"How do you two know each other and what do you mean your not from this Generation!" His Uncle Bill asked confused.
"I'm James Potter," James explained trying to confuse everyone further.
"James Potter is dead," Mad-eye said with a sharp glare.
"I should have remembered! James it's good to see you," Remus Lupin said from the back of the room.
"Hello Remus," James answered with a slight grin.
"How do you know each other?" One of the Weasley twins demanded.
"We met years ago for Remus and I and only a couple of months for James here," Sirius explained.
"So, your Harry's father?" The other Weasley twins asked.
"No," James stated.
"You just said you were James Potter and you know both Remus and Sirius," Madeye said frustrated.
"I'm not that James Potter."
"There is only one James Potter," Tonks exclaimed from the other side of the room.
"There is only one James Potter in this life time if that's what you mean."
"To be fair he does look exactly lie James did," Sirius said with a shrug looking at Remus who nodded.
"I've been told that before. And yes there was only one James Potter but I'm not him. I'm from the future."
"If your from the future how did you get to this time?" Bill Weasley demanded.
"Well I messed with a time turner. Then I landed both my brothers and my sister along with two of my cousins here, then I sent them back."
"So your the future Generation of the Potter's and which other family?" Molly asked interested.
"That information can not be told at this time."
"So your not going to tell us who your mum is?" Arthur asked and James simply shook his head and kept his moth shut.
"Why didn't you go back with your family?" Bill asked and James sighed.
"I couldn't."
"Why not?" He asked once more and James sighed.
"Because sometimes when you mess with time, time messes with you."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Madeye demanded.
"Well, can I just suggest this, don't ever break a time turner."
"Wait so this means you Harry's son in the future, but you said both your parents died," Neville asked concerned.
"I lied, I just didn't want people asking questions. Both my parents are alive. My little sister's really name is Lily and my brothers name isn't Aiden it's Albus."
"So Harry survives the war?" Madeye asked bluntly.
"Yes."
"You know everything that happens throughout the war?" Madeye demanded once more.
"Yes..."
"Then you must tell us everything," Madeye stated.
"No, I can't do that."
"Can you please tell us the whole story," Neville asked.
"Yes, that would probably be best. Okay so... I found a time turner in my dad's study and brought it down to where my two cousins and siblings were sitting, they tried to grab it from me and it fell to the floor and it smashed. Then well, bad things happened. I landed on the ground inside of Hogwarts with my family and then we wen't to Dumbledore and explained everything, we were all in Gryffindor, we had fake names or at least Albus and Lily did. Aiden and Clara Patterson. Then I introduced my self to James the first and Sirius, and I told them I was an ani- you know what that part isn't important. But anyway then I started getting nightmares so I slept in the room of requirement. They were the same dreams Harry was getting. Everything just kept getting worse. Harry, Ron and Hermione were investigating me and didn't exactly trust me. I had to try and get them off my trail which didn't exactly work as they've known for months. But anyway, I talked to my father plenty of course my father in the future. He said that I changed the past so technically I'm in the prophecy which I dropped and heard less then an hour ago. I don't really understand it but I have proof. I helped coach the DA, I can produce a Patronus, I know just about everything about Hogwarts and my best friend in this time is Nigel," James told them trying to recall everything.
"Your best friend is actually Nigel?" Neville asked with his eyebrows raised.
"Yes, and why is that the most interesting part of this story?"
"How did you talk to your father if he's in the future?" Madeye demanded.
"Well, I have this two way mirror that my dad spelled so we could contact each other anytime, anywhere. It was mainly so he could get mad at me if I got detention and was sent to the Headmasters office."
"Could you talk to him right now?" Tonks asked.
"Technically yes. I have the mirror on me, I always have the mirror on me. I don't know if that's such a good idea though. I could write him a note if you give me a quill and parchment."
They gave him a quill and parchment and James was about to write when he realized he didn't know what to say. "So I talked to him about everything when I died, I don't really know what to say."
"How did you see him when you were dead? I thought you said he wasn't dead," Sirius asked perplexed.
"I interrupted his lunch with my Mum, then I talked to him and then I woke up on the floor."
"Okay then, tell him your alive again he'd probably be happy to hear it," Molly Weasley told him and he shrugged.
"Okay, but he already knows."
James started writing in the code him and his father had made when he was interrupted.
"That's not English," Someone above him stated.
"It's code, this way at least my siblings and cousins cant read it."
James finished writing and pulled out his mirror, he placed the note on it and tapped his wand against it and the note disappeared. It was only about one or two minutes of awkward silence until a response revealed it's self.
