Shinichi's P.O.V.-

"So, Kaito, why did you move schools?" Sonoko asks as we have lunch outside a table. I cough at Sonoko's straightforwardness.

"Hm~? Are you curious to know me, Sonoko-chan?" Kaito purrs back.

"Hmpf! Yes, I'm curious! So what?" She says with a slight blush and her arms crossed.

"Well, I'm looking for someone...." kaito answers with a fake smile. That's right, I can tell when he has a fake smile on now.

"Oh~ a lover? Is it forbidden love?" Sonoko teases.

"Yes." Kaito answers and continues to eat and at that Sonoko stops her teasing.

"Gee, Sonoko! Is it a sensitive topic Kaito-kun?" Ran asks, I kinda want to know too now. From the looks of things, Kaito doesn't seem the type to recklessly do stuff with only emotions in mind...

'Wait, why do I care?'

"Ran-chan~! You're so nice!" Kaito says out of nowhere hugging Ran's waist.

"Oi! Kaito! You're being too touchy!" I yell kinda pissed at his actions.

I may not like Ran romantically anymore but she is still my best friend and we've barely met the guy today!

Out of nowhere, Kaito hugs me instead.

'Why this little...!'

"Shin-chan! What do I do with my forbidden love?!?" He ask with fake tears falling from his eyes.

"How am I supposed to know?!? Get off me!!!" I answer trying to pry him off me.

"I refuse!!!"

'He's surprisingly strong....!'

"Pfft-! Ahahahaha!" Sonoko and Ran start to laugh at this, damn...!

"Shin-chan.

If my forbidden love is truly forbidden.....

will you help me forget?" He asks in the most charming way possible, his face literally millimeter away from mine.

'Too close!!!!'

"Just kidding!" He chirps in with his immediate overly cheerful grin as he lets me go.

"Boy love.... Is it forbidden boy love, Kaito?!?!" Sonoko asks with literal stars in her eyes, you can also tell that Ran has the same look but she's trying to hide it.

"I'm not sure, I've never seen a guy liking another guy as forbidden." Kaito answers with a very serious look.

"So do you like men Kaito-kun?" Ran asks bluntly, Sonoko must have rubbed off her.

"I've never cared about gender much. So, I guess...?" He answers.

"I though you were a playboy..." I say, kinda relieved he isn't hitting on Ran but it's in his nature. Then again, does a guy that is as open with people as Kaito really exist?

"Mean~! If I like someone, I'll become totally loyal to them! Y'know a witch tried to seduce me before when I liked someone else with her magic but failed! The power of love is quite powerful." He says like I'm a child.

'Witches...ha!'

"Kinda hard to believe..."

"The witch part or the loyal part?" He asks.

"Both!" I say as Sonoko, Ran, and I laugh at Kaito's pouty face.

'He's loud but with him around it might not be so bad.'

When I got home, the first thing I did was take a bath. After I finished it though, I went down stairs to see Haibara sitting at the mansion's library.

"Ha-haibara!? You scared me!" I say literally minutes from having a heart attack.

"Kudo, I was going to tell you something a while ago about how the antidote affected your body but was interrupted by Ran's surprising appearance." She says as she makes me sit down and she starts inspecting me.

"I'm completely cured, no?" I ask as the blood literally drained from my face. I don't want to go into hiding again.

"Yes, however...
