"Stop right there..." Conan said to Kid before he opened the door to the roof. "Don't take another step."

"My, children shouldn't be playing with such dangerous gadgets~ tantei-chan~!" A cornered but overly happy thief comments. "Now put the watch thingy down..."

Conan just raises an eye brow, a do-you-think-you-should-be-talking? Kinda look, and the message did make it across but who cares when you're a phantom thief that has been through the impossible?

"Let's just end this." Conan says aiming his watch directly on the thief and if that doesn't work his power enhanced kicking shoes would finish him off.

"Before our usual tantei-kun, I'd like to have a request fulfilled...." kid says walking towards the little boy calmly, no poker face or smirk on and that kinda irked the detective.

The thief was now right in front of the  child and crouching down, face to face with the little boy. Conan wanted to step back but that might make it look like he's uncomfortable, and he was! But he will not show the thief this and he wants to see where this lead.

'So he IS my age, not the current one of course but kudo shinichi's age... he kinda looks like me, though it could be a disguise...' Conan thought, eyes locked on said thief.

"Tantei-kun~"

Kaito's P.O.V.~

"Night!" I said to my tantei-kun as he dozed off courtesy of le sleeping gas.

"Damn...bastard...thief...." Tantei-kun whispered before falling asleep. 'What terrible language for a kid...gotta make a note to visit Mr. Sleeping kogoro...."

"Now, the task force should be here any minute now and I don't want them getting hurt either so let's get our unwanted guest a nice greeting, ne, snake." I say mostly to myself but when I turn around, there he stood.

"If anyone gets hurt it's because you couldn't stay dead, kid." Snake said, gun at hand aimed right at my head.

"I'll repeat myself again, children shouldn't be playing with such dangerous gadgets." I say, as my hand touches my own [card] gun, ready to spring to action at any minute.

"I should be saying that but that boy sure looks tough, WE like people like that." Snake purred, knowing it might affect me. I moved to block his view of my tantei. Like I'd let him touch him.

"You know, I can deal with guys like him."

I turned around to see tantei-kun awake and with a kinda ticked off look.

'I won't hear the end of this,' I think kinda happy he's awake, 'Damn detective....'
