she was numb

in shock

she wanted to cry

but could only stare at the wall

her mind reeling

jordan,

her best friend,

the girl that made her

a back burner friend,

went through something

unimaginable...

their conversation 

was awkward

forced

even before jordan moved away

things were rocky between them

jordan didn't talk much to her

and only talked about her new friends

she signed with two modeling companies

and was living the dream

in nyc...

she called her

to see how she was

to get the details

of what was going on in her life.

they kept texting 

saying they should catch up

but the catch up never happened

the call never came..

except this time

jordan picked up the phone

their conversation was forced

tense

too polite

with too many silences

on the other end..

until jordan told her something

that she wasn't expecting.
