I heard the voices of my grandpa, my aunt and my cousin Tess, I couldn't move, I couldn't do anything, my body was too sore to do anything. I called out to dad, I called out to him. I was sore, especially my arm, last thing I remembered was them putting a needle into my arm and me falling asleep slowly. I wanted to find a way to show them I was okay but I couldn't, not today please or 5 more minutes until I wake please grandpa.
"I don't know if you can hear me Ames but I'm here" grandpa said as he sat by my bed and held my hand.
Pssh, light sedation, more like hours lasting sedation, I was out for a day. The next day I started waking up and I saw my grandpa asleep next to my bed and he was still holding my hand, I smiled and moved my hand so he would wake up. He woke up and immediately hugged me. That wasn't normal for him to just miss work like that but that usually happens when your the one in the hospital and your a Reagan, I knew he had called Baker to let her know the situation.
"Grandpa?" I asked weakly as I looked up at him
"Your alright, I'm here Ames" he responded as he sat back down
"What happened?" I asked
"You had an anxiety attack" he responded
"How?" I asked
"You were thinking about your dad too much. And you didn't get much sleep either" Addison said walking in.
"Hey partner" I said with a smile as she sat down by my bed
"How are you feeling?" She asked me
"Better, how long was I out?" I asked
"At least a couple of days" she said as she looked at me
"A couple of days?" I asked. I looked down at my knee. It was wrapped really good, a new brace was put on it too, that was to keep my knee in place
"Amy I have something to tell you" grandpa said...uh oh
"What is it grandpa?" I asked
"You have to go through physical therapy" he responded
"Again?" I asked
"Yes again, its good for you, don't you trust me?" He asked. I nodded. "Good, they want to keep you here for a couple days longer too"
"But grandpa, I don't want to stay here" I responded with a whine
"Its not my choice Ames, the doctor wants to make sure your healthy enough to go home" he responded
"Promise me you'll stay here with me?" I asked
"Yes Ames, I promise" he responded
"I'll stay here too" Addison added
"No, you go back to the precinct, finish up the cases, I have my grandpa here with me anyway" I said
Addison nodded and made her way back to the precinct.
I sighed as I laid back but I was in major pain, what I didn't realize is that when I fell before everything went black back at the precinct, I had fallen on my back. It hurt really badly then I woke up in the hospital again.
I started to slowly fall asleep, my body was too weak to keep myself awake, I heard my grandpa telling me to stay with him but how could I?
"We need a doctor!" Frank shouted and one came running in
"What's wrong?" The doctor asked as he came running in
"She's unresponsive" Frank said.
"Let's get her on oxygen and let's get her into surgery" he responded
Once I was back in my room, I felt something plastic covering my mouth and my nose, I wake up to find my grandpa sitting next to my bed again
"Grandpa" I said and he looked up at me and smiled
"I'm here Ames, I'll always be here" he responded and I slowly nodded.
"We're going to take your blood Amy to see what caused this" a nurse said
I nodded as she got ready to take my blood. I winced as I felt the needle going into my arm then she was done, she stuck another needle with a liquid in it. I had freaked out and I didn't know it. I felt myself slowly start to fall asleep knowing this sedation would last for close to a couple of days. I looked at my grandpa one last time before I fell back asleep.
Frank sighed as he got up and he started walking out. He went to the family to tell them how I was.
"How is she" Erin asked as she stood up and looked at grandpa
"She freaked out and she didn't know it, she was put on heavy sedation, it'll last for a couple of days" he said back
"Will she be okay grandpa?" Jack asked as Sean looked at Frank
"Once she wakes up they're going to put her on medication for her anxiety attacks" Frank said in response.
"Reagan family" a doctor said after he reviewed the blood after testing it
"Yes? Right here" Frank said as he turned to the doctor
"Have a seat" he said and the family sat down and so did the doctor "we tested the blood, she may have had stress because of the loss of her dad, we put her on days lasting sedation, she should be okay...BUT there are some dangers to this type of stuff"
"And what are the dangers?" Erin asked. She wanted answers.
"There are dangers of her having thoughts about hurting herself or even leading to her committing suicide(I'm sorry to younger readers), we'll keep her here as long as possible to start treatment" he explained "we can help her get rid of these thoughts but the amount of blood cells decreased since she first got here"
"What can we do to help?" Frank asked concerned
"All we can do is give her treatment, make her stop thinking about the future, she'll be off the job until she's better" he replied
"How long will that take?" Frank asked
"As long as it has to" he said then looked at Jack and Sean "can u keep an eye on her?"
"We're at school all day, every day" Jack replied and Sean nodded
"I can watch her, she can come to my office with me" Erin offered
"Or she can come to 1PP with me Erin so you don't have to deal with her" Frank offered to his daughter.
