I didn't like it here, I wanted to be at home with my family, I glanced over at my caretaker, hmm, so this was Steve McGarrett, interesting
"So, what can I call you while I'm here?" I asked him
"You can call me dad, the doctor gave me instructions, you have to follow them, I saw that you had a history of running off" he replied
"And what were those instructions" I asked him
"To make sure you take your meds, if you start freaking out I have some sedation that I will use, make sure you stay healthy, and make sure you eat too" he replied
"So, ah, what do you do here?" I asked him knowing nothing about him
"I'm an officer for Five-O" he said
"Five-O? That's a bit stupid in my opinion, let me guess, you have 5 people on your team?" I asked trying not to laugh at the name. "Meanwhile, New York is down one officer since I left, and we have a lot of officers"
"Oh yeah, while you are here, you are not to use any of your weapons like your gun or taser" he replied
"Excuse me, I'm certified to carry this at all times, I have to, I have to protect myself somehow" I replied to him
"Just be careful where you point that thing, we don't need an officer hurt or killed, you got me?" He asked
"Yes sir" I replied, this was the stupidest thing ever.
The next morning rolled around. I got up and put my gun in its holster and I did the same thing with my taser and my cuffs. I heard Steve calling for me and I went downstairs.
"Morning Steve" I said. He looked at me with a look "sorry, morning dad"
"Well, good morning Amy" he replied with a smile "today I'm going to take you to meet my team and maybe help out with a case"
"Really?" I asked
"Yes really, now get ready and let's get going" he replied
I went upstairs and got ready, then I heard a ding, it was from my partner, I picked up my phone and called her
"Matthews" she replied picking up
"Hey partner, I saw your text, how are you doing?" I asked
"Where are you Amy?" She asked
"I'm in Hawaii, I thought I told you I was transfered there for a while" I asked
"You didn't tell me anything, when are you coming home?" She asked
"A couple weeks to a month" I replied. I heard her sigh "hey, its alright partner, I'll be back"
"You promise?" She asked
"Yes I do, now I have to go, Steve's taking me to meet his team today" I replied and hung up
I gave a little sigh as I finished getting ready then I went downstairs and saw that Steve was already waiting in the car. I went outside and got in and he started driving towards the Five-O building.
"Hey McGarrett" Chin said as he greeted us. He glanced at me "and who's this"
"This is Amy Reagan, from New York City, she's been having anxiety attacks so she got transfered here and she's staying with me" Steve replied.
"Nice to meet you Amy, I'm Chin, one of Steve's officers, over there is Danny and Kono, Kono is a wonderful cop and she's my cousin, she's very nice" he said as she walked over
"Hey Cousin" Kono said and looked at me "who's this McGarrett"
"This is Amy Reagan, from New York City, she's been having anxiety attacks so she got transfered here and she's staying with me" Steve replied.
"Hey Amy, nice to meet you. I see you already have your duty belt with you" she said. I smiled and nodded.
"Yes Ms. Kono I do, I was told to wear it even when I'm not in New York" I replied as I kept looking at her.
"Aloha McGarrett" Danny said and looked at me "and you must be Amy Reagan"
"Yes I am, and Aloha?" I asked
"It means 'hello' in Hawaii" Chin said
"Hello Danny, yeah, she's staying with me for a couple weeks" Steve said
"How come?" Danny asked
"Because she's been having anxiety attacks and Dr. Smith, her normal doctor back in New York, wanting me to watch her" Steve said.
"Ah, I see, ready? We got a case to run, Amy can stay here with Chin and Kono and help them" Danny said.
"Alright, Amy, why don't you do that" Steve replied
"Alright, I guess" I replied.
I sat down and listened to Chin and Kono talk to Danny and Steve on the phone, I scrolled through the file and stopped seeing a familiar face.
I holstered my gun and ran outside and got into Chin's car and I drove to the location. I snuck in and listened and turned my head around the corner to see my partner from New York. Addison...no. I pointed my gun at Vik then moved back to hide. I couldn't get a clear shot to shoot Vik.
I heard them talking, was Addison going to give me away? No, she's my partner, she saw me behind the pillar and she knew I was there to help her.
"Addison" I whispered, she looked at me and shook her head
"You shouldn't be here" she responded at I untied her
"Go back home to New York, you'll be safe there" I responded.
I saw Vik pull out a gun. I did the same and shot him while protecting my partner. I heard Steve's voice as I called out to him. I ran to Vik and checked for a pulse, there wasn't a pulse, I had shot and killed him.
Addison ran up and gave me a hug and helped me up from me sitting on the ground. I hugged her and checked her to make sure she was okay. I sighed in relief as I knew she was.
