★・・・・・・★ ・・・・・・★The day began with cries. I groaned and rolled over, facing Hercules who kept me close to his chest. Another arm wrapped around me and I knew it was Lafayette. John quietly groaned in complaint. "It's not my turn," Alexander murmured over everyone's complaint.
Then an argument of groans began and I finally sighed, getting up. "No," Hercules complained, reaching for me to come back to bed.
"I have to go check on the kids if no one else will," I replied with a soft tone, grabbing John's robe from where he left it on the floor and wrapping it around me. I scurried off to the next room. It used to be Hercules' room, but we made arrangements, since we usually slept in Laf's room together.
I opened the mostly closed door and walked in. The one crying was Philip. Angel slept soundlessly, thankfully. I went over to Philip and carefully picked the seven month old boy up. "Hey, calm down," I murmured, kissing his head a few times. He kept his fuss up and I sighed. Maybe he was hungry.
I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed formula, putting it into a bottle and making sure it's a good temperature before feeding the fussy kid. He ate silently now, and I was relieved. I walked back to the room where the two kids slept and sat down in one of the two rocking chairs. I hummed a soft tune, my eyes glued to Philip.
Then that's when Angel began to cry and I sighed loudly. My head pounded at the sound and I couldn't take it. Seven months of getting out of bed and helping them back to sleep was no fun. I usually had to do it because the boys never wanted to. It made me angry, but I tried to keep it under control. Plus the boys had work and I didn't. I got a few months off of work because I couldn't handle everything.
I let Philip finish and I put him to bed before rushing over to Angel who screamed. I tried to hush her while changing her. She kept fussing until she had her onesie back on. I kissed her head before placing her back in bed. She giggled at me and I smiled. I hummed another song and both fell asleep. I left the room and ended up in my own room. I flopped on the bed and rolled up in the cold covers, falling asleep.

I was woken up by another cry. I didn't move. I curled up more in the blankets and sighed. I was not going to handle this all alone. I am either going to kill someone or they will do what I am asking them.
When the crying stopped, I contently rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. A soft knock interrupted that and I looked over to see Lafayette, holding Philip who slept soundly in his arms. "I'm sorry for not waking up early to help you," He murmured, rocking the child in his arms.
I smiled and patted the bed. He held up one finger and left to go put Philip back to bed. When he returned, he laid down next to me and I put my head against his chest. "Thank you for the apology."
"I know how hard it is, doing all of this plus being our girlfriend," Lafayette rubbed circles on my back to comfort me. "I want to be here for not only you and the boys, but for the kids, too."
I smiled and kissed Laf's neck with a peck. "I love you so much, Laf," I mumbled and closed my eyes.
"Get some sleep, mon amour. I'll take care of the kids if they cry," Lafayette told me. "Je t'aime aussi." (I love you also)
