As Dean walked in through the front door, i could hear gasps from all around the room, looking at my state, wearing his shirt and nothing else except the cuts and bruises all over my body. the lady at the front desk whose name tag i couldn't read, paled at the sight of my blood dripping on the floor as Dean carried me in, his face flushed from carrying me all over. i weighed a little more than the average girls, but I'm pretty sure it's mostly muscle. i am a farm girl after all. i need those muscles to work. i weighed about one forty. the average plus about twenty pounds of muscle that most girls didn't have.
"s-s-sir?" the lady at the front desk who had paled, along with everyone else i guess, asked.
"i need a doctor right now." Dean said, his voice cracking as he glanced down at me. the front desk lady ran off to find a doctor, and Dean stood there, holding me, whispering things like 'it's going to be ok' and 'I'm not going to leave you' as if he was my boyfriend who had been with me for years rather than days. but it felt that way. it felt as if i had always been with Sam and Dean. every time he wasn't sitting right next to me, i felt the urge to go find him. when he was only across the room, i felt the pull to go to him and grip his hand. right now though he looked as though he was already mine. as though he'd been mine fore months. he looked as if he'd been waiting for me.
"you are very brave young man. you must love her a lot." an old lady walked up and said. my eyes are mostly closed, and i think he thinks I'm asleep. i peek out from under my lashes to see a tear roll down his face.
"yes. i do." he whispered to the old lady. shocked, i opened my eyes. i looked at him. i could see the old lady watching me out of the corner of my eye, as Dean also watched me reach up a very shaky hand and thumb away the tear. but doing that, only cause more tears to escape, rolling down his face. he sniffled right as the desk lady came back with a nurse, not a doctor.
"I'm sorry, sir, i couldn't find a doctor, so i found a nurse until i could find one." the nurse turned to the desk lady and smiled.
"that was a good idea, Nancy." the nurse approached. "my name is Paige. i'll take care of her until the doc can come." she smiled warmly. a little too warmly. i saw that she hadn't looked at me once. she kept her eyes on Dean. i immediately didn't want her taking care of me. knowing this was the kind of girl to do anything to get what she was after. Dean started to put me on the rolling bed thingy, but i didn't let him. despite the pain flaring in my belly from the cut, i reached up and gripped his neck so tight, he wasn't putting me down without a fight. he looked at me in surprise.
"you have to let go of me, Sara." he said. i shook my head. his face changed from surprise to concern, to confusion.
"why not?" he asked perplexed.
"not." i flinched from the pain but kept going, in gasps. "this. nurse." i squeezed my eyes shut. when i opened them, i knew he could see the fear in my eyes. he looked at the nurse, and i could see it dawn on him what type of girl she was. she was the kind of girl who got whatever she wanted, no matter who she hurt to get it. he glared at her and picked my legs back up. i let go of his neck, making the pain in my belly ease a little. the nurse looked taken back. finally, Nancy came back with a doctor, who seemed to sense the tension.
"put her in the bed, sir." he ordered. Dean gave a short nod and put me down. the nurse started the follow, looking smug, but Dean grabbed her arm.
"sir, let the nurse do her job." the doctor said.
"i was only holding her arm. my girlfriend refuses to let this nurse take care of her. she's got a sixth sense and she knows when someone wants to hurt her." Dean said. i started at Dean's usage of the word 'girlfriend'. but the doctor looked down at me, forcing me to stop thinking of it for the moment.
"is this true?" he asked. it was mostly true. i was a pretty good judge of character. but i couldn't 'read' certain people. i just nodded. the doctor turned to the nurse.
"Paige, you are not allowed anywhere near this patient, am i clear?" he spoke with authority. Paige actually looked nervous.
"yes doctor." she said.
"feel better?" the doctor asked me as he pushed me towards a room, with Dean next to me. i nodded. Dean only took his eyes off of me to glance at where he was going, his hand on the rail next to me. i reached out and held his hand. he looked back down at me, startled. but then he squeezed my hand. it comforted me knowing he would be right there, to keep all the monsters-and Paige- away from me while i healed. he had to stop as the doctor wheeled me into a room full of nurses actually here to do their job, but he stood right outside, watching as they put me unconscious and started to stitch my my cuts.

when i woke up, i was wearing a hospital gown, laying in a hospital bed. there was a large bandage over the cut on my thigh. the rest of them were either simply stitched or bandaged. but i knew that the one on my thigh had both. i looked around to find it was dark. i glanced at the clock on the wall and it said two forty two. and since the windows were black on the other side, i was guessing it was am. i suppose it was almost sun down when we escaped. i looked to the side of my bed to find Dean, his chair pulled as close to the bed as it could get. his head was resting on his arms, his eyes closed. his arms were on the bed and on arm had it's hand out stretched to rest, holding mine. i squeezed his hand, and rubbed circles with my thumb on it. someone had put a blanket on him. probably a nurse after he had fallen asleep. i stared at his beautiful face, sleeping. he was so peaceful. i frowned. almost peaceful. i could see the tension that still held a hold of his shoulders. i reached up and stroked his head and shoulders. he relaxed and fell into a peaceful sleep. i could see the small smile creeping up on his face and knew he was awake. i rolled my eyes.
"you know, I'd kiss your forehead if i could sit up, right?" i smiled and looked down at him. his eyes were open now, looking at mine. he sat up and sat on the very edge of my bed. he leaned his head down, keeping his eyes locked with mine. i stretched my neck, ignoring the slight pain shooting through my cheek and chest as i kissed hi forehead. i still couldn't believe that he had called me his girlfriend. i flicked my eyed to his lips, and bit my bottom one. he noticed it and stared at me lips, watching everything i did with them. i bit my bottom lip, then trailed my tongue across both of them slowly. he kept his eyes on my tongue, fascinated. he leaned in, and kissed my nose, his eyes flicking to mine quickly. he then started to lean in. there was an exaggerated knocking and Dean grinned, turning his head to look at who was at the door. not even pulling away. i looked over to who was at the door. it was Sam. i sighed. of course it was. i mean he's great but of course he'd walk in at a moment like this.
"dude, what about Jake?" Dean asked, finally leaning back into his chair. Sam, glanced at me smiling in that shy way he does when he feels awkward.
"i sedated him." he smirked. "he won't be waking up for another three hours."
"sweet." Dean said.
"how are you, Sara?" he looked at me.
