Sam and I walked into the diner and sat at a booth. I knew the waitress.

"Jessica, how have you been?" I asked, wide eyes. she looked at me bored but then recognized me and smiled.

"Sara?" she asked. I stood up and she hugged me. "I didn't know you were back! I thought you were living in texas for another year!"

"I was going to but then I got robbed and had to hitchhike home. this is Sam. he and his brother gave me the ride." I gestured towards Sam. he grinned sheepishly and held out his hand.

"it's nice to meet-" he got pulled out of his chair and into a bear hug instead of a hand shake. he looked startled then hesitantly patted her back. she pulled back and wiped away a tear.

"you're so nice." she said. Jessica and I aren't actually friends. she happened to be a jealous bitch of everything I do. they only reason she was friendly now was because Sam was hot and she knew it. we sat back down.

"so what can I get y'all?" she asked, all smiles. but I could see the bitterness in her eyes.

"uh, can we just get a big basket of fries?" he asked. she looked at me bitterly. it was obvious she thought we were on a date. I let her think that.

"so what's the party tomorrow about?" he looked at me with curiosity.

"it's a surprise." my eyes twinkled and I knew his cat was about to die. curiosity killed the cat ya know. after a few minutes Jessica came back with a big basket of fries. she smiled at Sam and then frowned at me, perplexed. I dug in and Sam just watched me, amused.

"what?" I asked, my mouth full of fries.

"you look just like Dean when he's eating pie." I shrugged and continued to chow down. I ate half the basket then started eating slower.

"let's get a box and go, huh?" Sam said, standing up. I flashed him a look but nodded. Jessica brought me a box while Sam was paying.

"how did you manage to get his attention?" she asked. "I mean, what the hell does he see in you?"

"nothing. he's just a friend." she snorted.

"ya right."

"no really. I'm dating his brother." I said seriously. I pulled out my phone and showed her a picture of Dean and me. I was making a funny face and Dean was caught off guard and he looked really surprised since he was shirtless and had just woke up." Jessica gasped.

"how on earth did you get his attention?" she asked, her eyes almost popping out of her head.

"I didn't." I said simply. I smiled. "he got my attention." her mouth dropped open.

"well you better back off because-"

"because what, Jessica? you'll steal him? too late." I leaned forward to put my lips next to her ear.

"I'm pregnant." I whispered. she looked perplexed and astonished. her face paled then she passed out. I quickly picked up my box of fries and headed towards Sam, who was giving me the strangest look. we walked back out to the truck and got in. Sam opened his mouth to say something but then changed his mind and closed it. we drove out of town to the farm. we pulled into the driveway and parked. Sam went into the house and I headed out to the barn. Dean was picking up a hay bale, wearing leather work gloves and a t shirt that the sleeves had been cut off. it looked like it was my dad's. he wore jeans and a pair of my dad's old cowboy boots. I walked over to him, eating French fries out of the box I held, and watching him move bales from the middle of the floor to the side, stacking them so they were neat. Dave was dragging out tables and setting them up in rows.

"do I smell French fries?" Dave's head shot up. he saw my box and ran towards me. I yelled at him no and slapped him. he mock cried, saying meany. he went back to putting the table up and Dean walked over, putting his hand on the small of my back and kissing my forehead.

"hey. get your fries I see." he chuckled. he reached over to take one but I slapped his hand away. he frowned and rubbed his hand. I chuckled.

"I also need a table over there for the rifles." I said, pointing at the end of the barn. "there'll have to be bales behind the target. the target will be a small rope. when they shoot it, each rope with spell out a word. I-am-preg-nant." I said. he looked at me smiling.

"what?" I asked.

"just the thought of having a kid." he nuzzled my neck below my ear and Dave hollered that Dean needed to help. I laughed and smacked Dean's butt.

"i'll see you later." I said. he grinned and went back to work and I went to the house to find some ice cream for after the fries.

I stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel. I wrapped it around my torso and walked out of the bathroom and down the hall. nobody was in the kitchen but that was expected since it was midnight. Sam sat on the couch-his new bed for the time being- and read something on his phone. I smirked and headed up the stairs. I turned into my and Dean's room to see that he was on his phone, waiting for me like he said he would. he looked up and smiled, eyeing my bare legs. I winked and headed for my dresser. I grabbed a pair of underwear then before I could grab my oversized t shirt, Dean wrapped his arms around me, kissing my neck. I leaned back into him and he took my weight easily. he sat me on the bed and turned to his bag. I frowned, watching curiously. he dug through it for a minute then pulled out one of his flannel shirts. I smiled when he turned to put it over my head. I raised my arms and he slipped it over me. then he turned back to his bag and began digging again. I frowned again, this time puzzled. what is he getting? he continued to dig. but then when he couldn't find it, he began taking out his clothes.

"what are you looking for?" I asked. he just continued looking and then when he found what he was looking for, he turned to me, showing me his hands. he held a little box. it was velvet colored and fuzzy. my eyes widened as I realized what it was. he knelt next to the bed in front of me, opening the box. there was a silver ring that had a tiny sapphire embedding into it. I could never wear rings or bracelets because they would always get caught on something when I was either wearing my gloves in the tattoo shop, or when I was helping my brother or dad work on cars and fix fence. he obviously knew that.

"Sara Mable, will you marry me?" he asked, looking into my eyes. watching the show supernatural he didn't seem like the kind of guy to settle down. but seeing the hope in his eyes now, I realized that he was, indeed, that kind of guy. I smiled and nodded. he put it on my finger and stood up, hugging me tightly.
