the month passed and Dean and i had settled on a small farm just outside of lex. the house was a very old rich farm house. it would have been considered a mansion back in the early 1900's. there was a large barn with a small section of pasture behind it. there was a pen in front of the barn and next to the house, across the drive. the porch was huge and the front door would always swing shut and bang on the wooden frame loudly.

house description

when you walked in the front door, there was the living room and a small reading area. in there was a stairway that led upstairs.  through the reading area was a hallway it led past the side door and into the kitchen. through the living room, was the dining room and then the kitchen. next to the kitchen was a doorway that led to a small room, past the back door and to two sets of stairs. on led up and the other led down.

upstairs, (going in from the living room steps) you went by an office and several bedrooms. there were two bathrooms, one on either end, then when you got to the end of the hallway, you got to the other set of stairs.

downstairs, was just on big room with a closet and bathroom.

we had gotten furniture for the house and put another living room in the basement. we put in a huge flat screen TV and a bar with stools in the corner. there was a small leather couch and several bean bag chairs surrounding the TV. there was a PS3 and an Xbox. Dean preferred Xbox to play with Sam, but I'm more of a playstation girl. the controls are so much more simple!

we made our master bed room and made two offices, one for him and one for me. we both had a apple computer on a wooden desk and chairs. my office had a rocking chair and Dean had built shelves on the wall for my books. he had also set up a wooden counter that went around half of the room with shelves under it. my light table was built into it and all my art supplies were on the shelves and scattered on the counter. i had gotten a job as a tattoo artist at a local tattoo shop. they acknowledged that i was pregnant, and i was starting to get the baby bump. so they made sure i only did small tattoos so i could have breaks in between.

Dean had taken a job at the local saw mill, carrying and cutting logs, making them into wooden planks. Sam continued to hunt and Dean occasionally went with him. we had set up a room for when Same was taking a break. he would stay with us for a few days and then head back out on another case.

i sat in my office, something in your mouth by nickleback playing through my speakers as i sat and designed my next tattoo. a lady had come in today and asked for a sleeved rose pattern mixed with skulls, guns, knives, and vines. she was getting it on her left shoulder blade all the way to her wrist. it would be a big tattoo, but she had assured me that i could take breaks whenever i needed them because she had nothing else going on all day tomorrow.

i sighed and stood up from my tall stool, leaving my office to go to the bathroom. right as i got done, i decided to take a break from designing and went downstairs to get a drink and snack. i dug through the cupboards and settled on a back of lays original chips and sweet ice tea. i started humming and bouncing my head slightly. the doorbell rang and i went to the door. we never locked the side or back door since we lived in the middle of nowhere, besides we had a large german shepherd dog, Rain, who was allowed inside sometimes.

i opened the front door and found Cara standing there with Sam on her arm. she winked and let herself in. i chuckled and closed the door. Sam swayed, and then walked over to me, putting his hands on my stomach cooing at it.

"and how's my sweet little niece or nephew?" he asked my belly. Cara chuckles with me and grabs his arm, dragging him upstairs. i gave Cara a pointed look and she rolled her eyes, nodding. i went to the kitchen to eat a few chips and sip on my sweet tea. Dean came out of the basement and looked at me. he had been painting the walls. he had insisted that they be a light grey, so i agreed to save us an argument over something stupid. he had paint smeared on the corner of his eye, down his cheek and ending at his jaw. i shook my head and smiled.

"what?" he asked, also smiling. i grabbed a paper towel and got it damp. i wiped at his face until the paint was gone, leaving him smiling into my eyes. i slipped a hand on my cheek and pecked my lips. he reached for my chips and i smacked his hand away, making him flinch. he tried again but for my tea and i smacked him harder. he raised his hand in surrender and backed up.

"ok fine. I'm going to bed, don't be too late." he pointed at me. i nodded and winked, my mouth full of chips. he rolled his eyes and headed upstairs.

not long after that, Cara came down sighing.

"so what happened?" i asked, munching on a chip.

"we went out to a bar with some of my friends, he got drunk, made out with Julia, and i dragged him home." she shrugged.

"wait, he made out with Julia?" i asked, amazed. Julia was crushing on her guy friend hard and she strictly left it at him and no other guy. so it was surprising she had fun with someone for once.

"ya. you should have seen it. if i didn't drag Sam out of there, they would've done more than that right there on the bar bench."

"eww!" i exclaimed. she nodded seriously then looked at the clock on the wall.

"i gotta go. i have work in the morning." she sighed. i nodded and hugged her fiercely. she left and i finished my tea, taking my chips up to continue my tattoo design.

after i had finished it, around midnight, i crawled into bed beside Dean and snuggled up to him.
