~Time skip 1 week after meeting Odyssey~

Y/N POV

"So you want me to spray paint something?" Odyssey looks at us confused. I roll my eyes and Sasha sighs at me.
"Yes." Gene says, nodding his head lightly. Odyssey looks at the can cautiously.
"Ugh! Are you kidding me?!" I yell and they all look at me.

"Your a witch, right? Act like one! Use your powers to spray paint, I don't care! Just please for the love of Irene do something!"
I was a lot more frustrated then I cared to admit. What's so hard to figure out about a damn spray can?!

Shake, spray. That's it.

Odyssey shakes the and a pink color of my black paint can.
"Hey! What did you do?!" Zenix yells, as Gene takes the can from Odyssey. She folds her arms and with a wave of her fingers, the can floats out of Gene's hand with a violet color ura surrounding it. It floats back into her hand and she starts to spray.

"Wow." Zenix says breathlessly.
Sasha stares in amazement.
Gene has the biggest smirk on his face.
Me? I'm looking at Odyssey. She has a look of
'Fuck you!' on her face. Within 10 seconds, her face turns into curiosity and fear. I felt my head start to hurt again. My eyes were hot red. Zenix and Gene put their hands on my shoulders and I calmed down a little.

"Why does her form look different from yours?" She points out. As soon as she said it, Gene's grip on my shoulders loosened as Zenix's tightened. I took his hand.
"Um, ouch!" I said sarcastically, as he rolled his eyes and looked down. I said goodbye as the faint bell rang for pm homeroom. Sasha followed as Gene and Zenix talked with
'Pearly Witch'.

After homeroom...

"Hey! Y/N!" I heard a voice yell. Ugh, who dares to annoy me more?! To my shock, it's Pearly Witch.
"What do you want?" I scold. I really don't see why Gene wanted her a part of the Shadow Knights! She was one of the pretty, popular, loved by everyone girls.
"I wanted to prove myself!" She smiles.

Irene kill me.

"How? Just snap your fingers and my mind is changed to love you?"
Her face looks a little hurt, but then she takes out a brown leather book and hands it to me.
"That's a book of spells and potions that I've mastered to perfection, choose one and I'll do it for you."
What? What would I do with a spell or a potion? She walks away as Travis comes running towards me.

"Ready?" I breath deep and he nods, now telling me about his day. I was listening at first, until I started thinking about the book in my backpack. Odyssey offered to make any potion or cast any spell for me. A memory loss potion?
"Y/N? Earth to Y/N?" Travis waved his hand in front of my face. I sighed and smiled apologetically, even if I really didn't mean it.
"It's ok. What were you thinking about?" He laughs.
"Food, nothing new!" I lie and fake laugh.

We get the our house and reach for my keys, but Travis opens the unlocked door and walks inside.
"Travis! No! Hey!" I yell and reach for him, but it was too late. Dad was sitting on the couch. He quickly gets up and yanks Travis by his hair, shutting and locking the front door in my face. Screams of my name in pure horror come from Travis as I try to unlock the door with my ear up to it. A loud 'SNAP!' comes from inside and I stop.

It feels like time froze.

Dad always whipped me, never Travis.

I unlock the door slowly and Dad is standing over a passed out Travis, with a whip slash on this side. He shots his head at me and I close the door, breathing deep. As I turn back around, he's hovering over me. I close my eyes and he throws me to the floor. Hard. I look at him as he grins evilly and the whip comes down on me. Several times.

~Time Skip 1 hour later~

"Wake up." Someone shakes me. I open my eyes and it's a boy with white hair and emeralds for eyes. I look around and sit up in shock.
"Where am I?! Who are you?! Where's my mom?! Where's my baby brother?!" I yell at the stranger, who looked like my dad.
"Your names Y/N Valkrum, your 15 years old and a Shadow Knight. I'm your brother Travis." He says, taking my hands in his. I jump back and try to stand, but fall to the floor. I look and my side and there are red slashes and the same on my back.
"What are these?!" I yell again. He puts a finger to his lips and goes to a bookbag. He takes out a phone and hands it to me with the camera facing me. It then all rushes back.

"Travis?" I ask, holding my head. He hugs me and I go to scream in pain, but bite my tongue. He releases me and we help each other up the stairs.
"Do you remember anything from your memory shoot?" I cringe at that sentence. I shake my head no, but I actually do for once. I was shot back to when I was 7, 3 weeks before we moved to Phoenix Drop.

I clean Travis up and he goes to his room. I do the same to me and I change into my gray pullover baggy hoodie and F/C pajama shorts.

My phone lights up with a call from Sasha

I hang up and throw my phone on my bed. Bad mistake cause it rang again and I hurt my bruised up arm more. Emo's name lit up my phone this time.

Again, I throw my phone down and go for my book bag. Ignoring all my homework, I take out Odyssey's book. I flip through the very thick pages at all the potions and spells. Could she really do all of these?
I mark three things that intrigued me.
1. A memory potion
2. Invisibility Charm
3. Persuasion Spell

These sounded VERY helpful! Who knows, Pearly Witch's plead might just save her.

I'm sorry for not updating for 2 weeks? Or was it one week? Or 3? Wow, I suck as a writer! And this is ALSO late cause it's 12:11am on the dot.
This chapter was a filler, but next chapter won't be I promise!
