Y/N POV
"So!" Slivana said with her mouth full of bread. "How do you all know each other?" "Heh, I think Y/N should answer that!" Zane muttered, but we all heard him. "Y/N, would you like to tell us?" Zianna said moving her chair closer to me. I sighed and glared at Zane, who sat across from me. "Well, I'm a Sophomore!" I started. Zianna's listen to me like she was a kid listening to Santa. "I knew Garroth and Laurence from last year, and I found Aphmau on the first day. She tripped and Garroth saved her from falling on the concrete!" I nodded to Silvana, who sighed from happiness. "Then I met Zane from wanting to join the Shadow Knights." I said and took a sip of water, waiting for someone to explode. Zianna looked at Zane frustrated and Travis kicked me from underneath the table. "No regrets." I whispered to him. Travis smiled and looked back at Zane. I saw Cadenza and Laurence giggle too. "ZU ZU! I thought I told you to leave those nice kids alone!" She yelled. "They're nice? Since when?" Zane scoffed. Laurence rolled his eyes. I could tell he still ad a heart for us! "Since I found out Y/N is one of them! She's so lovely that they can't be as mean as they seem!" She said. Zane looked back at me and I gave him a big, fake smile. I saw red come from underneath his mask again and he quickly looked back down.
"Oh, Travis! I meant to ask you, why didn't your dad come?" Raven asked. Travis's face matched his hair. Irene, help me think fast! "Um, h-he had to w-work." He said silently. Raven looked at him confused, but let it go. Garte didn't let it go. "But, your father and I work together! Why didn't he tell me he was working late?" He asked. IRENE WHY!? "Travis meant he was working on the car! It keeps stalling so he's trying to fix it." I lied. Zane looked at me and coughed. I glared at him and shook my head. Garte laughed and changed the subject. Zane didn't.
"What kind of car is it?" He asked. "And old Jeep" "What year?" "I don't know, 1985?" "What color?" "Dark green."
"Really, because I saw him drive a truck to work yesterday." Garte said. I put my head in the table. I've never been in or seen my dads new car.
"Um..." Travis stuttered. Zane didn't stop there the idiot. "Why did you lie about the car?" He asked. I stood up from the table and my eyes went red. Travis grabbed my hand, but I forcefully pulled it away. Zane looked scared of me, he should be. He didn't stop. "Where is your father really?" He asked standing up. "Zu Zu, that's enough!" Zianna yelled. Gar Gar and Raven went outside to escape awkwardness, Young nerd and Cadenza started to clear the table, and Laurence went near Travis's side.
"Where is your father?! Why don't you tell them why he's not here!" He yelled. What was wrong with him?! Travis tried to take my hand again, but I reached across the table and grabbed Zane by his shirt. "Fuck you!" I yelled and he gulped. "Do not call him father! Do not talk to or look at me ever again after this! Do not bring this crap up when I begged you not to, and I don't beg!" I yelled and threw him back. I grabbed my brothers hand and walked to the door.
I took our coats and pushed Travis outside. I felt my eyes go back to normal. "Thank you for a wonderful dinner Zianna. That was the best I've eaten in a while!" I said as nice as I could and slammed the door. Travis started at me and had tears forming in his eyes. "Travis I -" he stopped me. "Fuck him." He said whipping some tears and I smiled. I gave him a hug and we slowly walked back home. "Y/N!" I heard someone yell. I turned around and Gene was there. I sighed out of relief and so did Travis. "What are you doing in this area? You live 20 minutes away." I asked. Gene smirked and handed me his phone.

"No way!" I yell and smile evilly. "I'll send it to you and the others! I'll explain Monday!" He said, took his phone back and ran off. "What was it?" Travis asked. I half smiled. "Something that might get Zane back for what he just did." I said. Travis smiles and I open the door. I see my dad's hand grabs me and pull me inside.
"WHY DID GATRE JUST CALL AND ASK WHY I WASN'T AT DINNER WITH YOU IDIOTS?! WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT ALLOWING YOUR HOME LIFE TO BE A TOPIC?!" He yelled as he pulled me by my hair into the house. He picked me up and put me over his shoulder. I kicked and screamed at him, but he was stronger than me! "Y/N!" Travis yelled and tried to get to me, but my dad pushed him back. "TRAVIS! Don't call anyone! I'll be fine!" I yell and he slams the basement door shut. What is he going to do?
Travis POV
"Ow!" I hold my head. I hear Y/N cursing at father and screaming in pain from down stairs and can only think of the worst! She told me not to call anyone, but I have to!
(???) POV
"Hello?" I answer my phone. Why was Y/N calling me? We just saw her and I didn't think she wanted to talk to any of us. "It's Travis! You need to get over here! And hurry! No cops!" Travis said frantically and hung up. What in Irene's name was hap - oh no! The fight must have gotten back to their father! Shit! What do I do?! They made me promise never to call the police! Maybe I should? Y/N would have my head though. We were all having dessert, what should I do?! Travis sounded ok, so that means Y/N was the one in danger. DANG IT!
"Garroth!" I said and pulled him to a corner. "We need to get to the Valkrums, now!" I whispered. "Why? I'm not sure Y/N or Travis wants to see anyone right now! What was that whole fight about anyway?" He asked. "I'll explain the whole thing once we know that their ok! Let's go!" I said and we ran out the door. Hold on Y/N, I'm coming.
