We walked out the door of Alex and John's apartment and I took Laf's hand, kissing him on the cheek. I don't know what overcame me to do that but both of us seemed fine with it.

"It was really nice of you to come with me to Alex's. He really needed that, I think." I said, thanking him. He waved his hand that I wasn't holding.

"No, no. It was my pleasure. I felt bad for him, and yes, he needed that, like you said." He replied, his French accent making his pronunciations sound different. I liked it.

"Well, I'd say you're officially apart of the Revolutionaries now!" I exclaimed, smiling at him as we climbed into the car.

"The Revolutionaries?" He asked, confusion filling his voice. Oh yeah, he probably has no clue what that means.

"So, ever since we were in high school, John, Alex and I have called our little group the Revolutionaries. I don't really know why we picked it but it's kind of just stuck with us. But now, you're a part of the group too, so you're a Revolutionary!" I explained. He nodded, just deciding to go with it. Changing the subject, I asked him what else he wanted to do since it was only 2pm.

"Well, I don't really know anything around the city since I'm still new here. Maybe you could show me around town and all the places I need to know?" He said. Oh yeah, oops. I forgot he hadn't lived here all this time. He just seems so familiar. I can't shake the odd feeling that I've know him before.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. We can just drive since we already have my car and it's raining." I said. He nodded and I began to drive towards town and all the shops he needed to know.

"So, there's the grocery store. It's a lot easier to get here from our complex than it is Alex and John's, but it's right here." I began, slowing down and pointing it the window. We did this for a while, me driving and pointing, and him asking questions about the stores and everything.

About an hour later after I'd decided we'd seen enough stores through the rain covered window, we drove back to the apartments and I dropped him off at his.

"Well, I had a good time with you today. And, I'll make sure to call you if we're ever hanging out or anything. You can come over any time if you need anything too!" I said. It seemed like departing from each other was so awkward. He nodded.

"Yes, I will make sure to. Tell Alex I send my regards. And I think, or hope, we'll see each other more often than we think." He said, laughing a little as he reached the end of his sentence. I nodded and grinned, then realized I was just standing outside his door in the pouring rain.

"Well, I'm going to go now so I don't get completely drenched before I get home..." I said, waving goodbye and walking away.

Just before I reached my car, it felt like something was tugging on me. I felt the desperate need to go back. I guess Laf felt it too because three seconds later, we were both sprinting towards each other in the middle of the parking lot.

I practically flung myself in his arms as our lips smashed together. Rain water poured around us, soaking us both completely, dripping down our faces as our lips moved against each other's.

We moved against each other, not caring that we were covered in water or that we were practically making out after knowing each other for two days.

But this kiss felt so much better than he one last night. It felt real and pure and amazing. We continued to kiss for what felt like years, until I heard a car honk it's horn and felt bright car headlights shining against us.

And that's how my mother caught me making out with a French man in a parking lot.
