devils don't fly
"But I got chains and you got wings. You know that life ain't fair sometimes. Devils don't fly."
I'm weighed down, unable to fly,
While you're over there, basking in your beautiful wings within the sky,
I look away and yet somehow you found me,
Cold and alone on the pavement,
You called me beautiful yet didn't pay attention to me not having wings.
You held out your hands and asking me to go with you,
I shook my head no because deep down, I knew I couldn't,
And when you asked why not,
My reply was devils don't fly.
