how I love
If I showed how I loved,
You would be scared,
I love a person as if they were a crime scene,
And I will protect them with all the strength I have,
My love isn't something everyone can have though,
It is a rare feeling that someone earns slowly,
And when I do love,
I won't let go,
I will try so hard,
Just to keep that sense of feeling in me,
Why though?
Because I've been so damaged,
So unspeakably broken,
To the point where I just feel numb,
So when I feel,
A feeling that I haven't felt in years,
Then I will never let go.
I will try to grasp onto it,
And hold on it to dear life,
When I love,
My love is different.
My love is real.
