"You getting anything?" Toast asked Colon, looking around the dark room, the only light being both of their flashlights, and the tiny amounts of moonlight through the window.
"Nope. You?" Colon replied, looking at his scanner.
"Unsure. The PPS isn't picking up anything, but I have a... strange feeling..." Toast explained, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"What kinda strange?" Colon asked, getting a bit closer to Toast.
"Bad strange. 'Something awful is gonna happen' type feeling," Toast clarified. Colon nodded, looking back at the equipment. Nothing. Maybe it was a false alarm.
Crash!
The two jumped in response to hearing something break and screaming. They bolted downstairs, seeing a large hole in the floor. Cautious to not break the floor any further, they approached slowly. They saw Spooker and Ghost in there.
Spooker had, fortunately, landed on an old mattress, while Ghost hadn't been so lucky. Blood pooled around him, a large amount around his head.
"Are you two ok!?" Toast called, Spooker looking at him while Ghost didn't move.
"Y- yeah.... G- Ghost isn't m- moving!" Spooker yelled back in alarm and fear.
"Do you see any way out?! Stairs?" Toast continued, Spooker getting up.
"... o- oh God! T- Toast! G- Ghost is b- bleeding.... really b- bad!" Spooker stated, kneeling next to his idol. Ghost was breathing, albeit unsteady.
"Is he breathing!?" Toast asked, receiving a nod from Spooker, "you see any ways out?"
Spooker looked around, seeing an old staircase.
"Yeah!" Spooker answered.
"Ok, go there, and I'll come down and get sir!" Toast explained, waiting for Spooker to see where the stairs would be.
After he'd found the stairs and got down, he was immediately at Ghost's side, using a cloth to stop the bleeding and to disinfect the wound. They didn't really bring any proper medical equipment on their missions, something Toast knew he'd have to sort out.
Carefully, he picked up Ghost, relieved to see Ghost stirring. He took Ghost upstairs and to Colon and Fred.
"There's nothing here," Colon stated, showing that the entire house was negative for paranormal signs. Toast nodded, leaving for the car, followed by Colon and Spooker.
Still, Spooker wondered...
... what had Ghost saw?
