The floorboards creaked as they walked along the old wood. It really didn't sound sturdy.
"Careful," Ghost cautioned, Spooker nodding.

Suddenly, Ghost jerked, looking around.
".... Something's nearby...." Ghost whispered to Spooker, who checked the equipment. There was no signs of anything odd.

"There's nothing on the PPS," Spooker stated, showing him the device; also known as the 'Paranormal Presence Scanner'.

"I can sense it. There is something," Ghost confirmed, Spooker confused. Never had the PPS been wrong, but he didn't want to question his boss' judgement. He dropped the subject, following behind Ghost.

Creak. Creak. Creak.

They'd reached a room. Ghost held up his hand, gesturing for Spooker to wait.
He peered around the corner, using his flashlight to observe the room. Spooker waited, watching as Ghost stepped in a bit. However, his entry was short lived.

Ghost slowly backed up, glaring at something with a horrified expression. He murmured something under his breath, shaking.
"... Umm, Gho-" Spooker started, not getting the chance to continue, Ghost grabbing his shirt collar and dragging him off as he sprinted.

Spooker tried to talk but couldn't with how Ghost was yanking him. What had Ghost seen? Where were they going? Regroup? Wha-
