This Wasn't Supposed to Happen (2)

It was a Saturday afternoon, and Soraru was spending it by lazing around his house. He didn't get days off very often, so he was cherishing his free time. Just as Soraru was considering taking a nap, he heard his doorbell ring. He frowned slightly in confusion. He didn't recall inviting anyone over today. Maybe it was one of those door to door salesmen that came around every now and then. With a sigh, Soraru got up from his couch and went over to the front door.

"Can I help y-"

Soraru cut himself off when he saw who was standing on his doorstep. A somewhat small albino smiled up at him as if this was the most normal thing in the world.

"Hi, Soraru-san. I hope I didn't interrupt anything," Mafumafu greeted him.

A billion questions were running through Soraru's mind at once. This was by far the strangest thing that had happened to him in a long time. He was so taken aback it took a moment for Soraru to collect himself enough to speak.

"What are you doing here?" Soraru asked.

"I got bored and wanted to go out somewhere, so I was wondering if we could hang out," Mafumafu answered.

"Wait, why me? Why not hang out with Amatsuki? Or literally anyone else?" Soraru questioned.

Mafumafu's smile turned sheepish. "Well, you see, I'm technically not supposed to leave my house for another two days. Doctor's orders. But there's nothing to do there, and Ama-chan is at work today, so I just kind of snuck out."

"Okay... So then why did you come to me?" Soraru asked. After a moment, he added, "And how do you know where I live, anyway?"

"Ah, about that. Ama-chan gave me a list of numbers to call if I need anything and he isn't available. One of them was Kashitaro-san's number, so I went ahead and asked him if it'd be okay to see you. He gave me your address without even asking any questions. Isn't he nice?" Mafumafu explained.

"Just the greatest," Soraru muttered. He was going to have a long talk with Kashitaro later. "Look, I really wasn't planning on going anywhere today, so you're going to have to find someone else to mess around with. I'm not interested."

Soraru started to close the door, but Mafumafu pushed against it, wedging himself between the door and the door frame.

"Wait a minute, Soraru-san," Mafumafu said.

Soraru looked down at him in annoyance. "What?"

"I don't know what I did to make you dislike me so much, but I'd like to be able to put that behind us. It's just not fair to hold a grudge against me when I don't even know what I did wrong," Mafumafu said, his gaze focused on the floor.

Soraru considered his words for a few minutes. Maybe it was easy for Mafumafu to act like they were buddies since he had no idea who anyone was, but Soraru couldn't just go doing that all of a sudden. That's just not how this sort of thing worked. But if Mafumafu was going to keep bugging him like this, then Soraru figured he had to do something about it.

"If I hang out with you or whatever for a little bit, will you finally leave me alone?" Soraru asked.

Mafumafu nodded quickly. "Mhm! I promise, I won't bother you again."

Soraru took another moment to weigh his options, before sighing. "Alright. But if you do anything weird like last time, I'm calling Amatsuki and telling him you snuck out."

"Eh? No, don't do that. Ama-chan will get mad if he finds out," Mafumafu whined.

"All the more reason for you to try acting like a normal human being for once," Soraru said.
