I've affixed my signature to the last page of the contract. A smiling Jungkook was in front of me as I pushed the paper to his side.
"Thanks, Noona. I was about to sell my body to pay for Jinri's school fees. Sorry it took some time to finalize the contract." He smiled at me.
"I'm sure you could've gotten more money if you have decided to do that. Jin told me she was a scholar at her school. How come you need a lot of money to finance her school fees?" You asked.
"How come you left your parent's house?" He asked with his mouth pouting.
"Why do you care?" You asked.
"Why do you care that I need more money for Jinri? What happened to the circle of trust you don't want to be a part of?" He said.
"Fine." You said as you stood up. "Soda? Water?"
Jungkook shakes his head no as he still remains seated. He was playing with the papers and you knew he was about to say something.
"I'm buying a house for my parents and for Jinri and me. Don't tell anyone." He said.
"Why did you tell me?" You widen your eye at him while he frowns like a kid.
"I miss Mochiballs. I can't talk to him so I told you." He said.
"Who?"
"Jimin. Mochiballs."
You shake your head.
"How can we prevent that? You know when everybody gets married and have kids. How can we prevent relationship fallouts?"
"I'm sure he still cares for you. What makes you think that you're having a relationship fallout?"
Why are you still asking him Jaehee? You don't want to be a part of their circle of trust. You don't want to be part of their problem. You don't want to know more about them.
"Whenever I called him, he's busy. Or doesn't answer at all. We used to talk all the time. Ever since he got kids, he becomes unavailable." Jungkook said with his sad eyes.
"I don't expect him to be there for me like he used to but— I didn't expect him not to give a shit either." Jungkook continued.
"Have you tried to visit him? Alone, not with Jinri. So you could really see how he's doing. Maybe help him a little. He's got responsibilities now, you should help him instead of asking him to help you."
Jungkook sighed. You could see how much he misses Jimin. He sadly put the paper into his bag and smiled at you.
"Maybe this weekend." He said.
"Hey! Sweetie... I brought us lunch. Are you guys finished?" Jin said coming in the apartment.
"Have you heard of knocking? This is not your house you know? And for the last time, Mr. Kim. Don't call me sweetie." You said. "Why are you here anyway?"
"Picking you up, of course. We're going to the studio after we've eaten. You said you wanted to see Yoongi doing his 'thang', Kook, you can stay and eat with us. Taehyung said you didn't eat when you left." He said.
It was a packed lunch that he probably cooked. For the past month that you've transfered to Jungkook's apartment, Jin never misses a chance to message or call you while they're on tour. For the past six days, he even picks you up at the office to drive you home.
