Her
I asked Jessie's secretary not to announce me via the intercom. I know Jessie's not busy anymore as the office hours is almost over. I gently knocked against her door and slowly pushed it open.
"Hmmm. Jaehee? Why?" She asked.
She's one of the people I'm gonna missed terribly. My mentor and confidant. The go-getter attitude she has rubbed on me and I've learned more things from her than the two years it took me to complete my masters.
My strides were careful towards her desk as I put a piece of paper on top of it. "I figured, being professional is the best way to go."
Jessie's forehead creased as she took the paper and read it in a haste. Her eyes slowly blinked and closed. "What's wrong? Is it the salary? Are you stressed by the work?"
"You and I both know we both thrive at stressful situation. I paid Jiwon in a year so the salary's more than enough."
"Why are you leaving then?"
"It's personal." I said avoiding her gaze.
Jessie's irritation seemed to subside. "Is it Jin? I heard— did he and Hyuna got back?"
"I don't really know." I said with a chuckle.
"Yoongi said he isn't talking as well. They don't know either but he's spaced out or something. Instead of leaving, I can talk to him... We can resolve whatever it is between the two of you."
"I'm going to Japan." I said abruptly. "I told Ken I'm going there to— stay with him."
"Is it that bad? What happened between you two?" Jessie asked.
"It's a mutual decision to give each other some space. We both know as long as I'm here, there would be no space between us."
Jessie smiled bitterly at me. "If that's the case. Then I guess, goodluck. I hope you'll be happy."
"Thanks— Jessie."
Jessie stood up and hugged me. "I'm missing you now. How about we call the girls and have a party for you."
"I don't trust your 'parties' anymore." I said narrowing my eyes at her.
Jessie gave a hearty laugh. "No this time, I promise it would be a party."
"I'm still gonna say no to that." I said. "I have to pick up Ken at the airport as well."

Ken arrived waving at me. I waved back and sighed. His face went from sheer happiness to doubt when he saw me.
"Hi Beautiful" he said as he leaned in.
In sheer awkwardness, he tried to kiss me as I did to him causing us to miss each other's faces a couple of times looking like we're playing hide and seek.
He cupped my face to stop me and finally our lips met. It was not was I expected it to be. He was a good kisser I should say but it feels empty and he felt my hesitation although he didn't tried to confront me about it.
He held my hand and it felt safe. He is safe. I shouldn't hesitate.
When we reached my apartment, it was chaos. I tried packing but the only thing I manage to do was took everything out but was not never being able to decide if I should take them with me.
"Are you really sure about your decision?" He asked looking at my apartment's mess.
"Yeah." I said.
