Her

Jessie came into my office and she shushed me before I could even asked her what she wants. She sat accross my desk and smiled at me.

"What's with you and Jin? You really love him?" She asked.

I went thru with the email I'm typing after I gave her a quick look and adjust my glasses. "I don't know if I should tell you, after all you bet against us."

Jessie let out a laughed as I did. This must be what it feels like to have a friend, a girl friend.

"Were you offended? I'm sorry. I thought you love Ken more than Jin. He's better for you. Even bets aside that is. How did you realized you love him?" Jessie said.

"It feels like a blade slicing thru my entire existence when I heard Hyuna's name." I said.

"That's why Ken is better, he doesn't have a Hyuna for you to compete with." Jessie stood up. "Anyway I came here to ask you to join us for a dinner. Yoongi would cook for us." She said.

"Is this the same thing as that fake pity party in Ilsan?" I asked.

Jessie laughed again. "No... sorry about that. It's a small party. You, me, Yoongi and Jinri. I was inviting Jiwon but Taehyung told me she flew back this morning. It's been a year since I'm cancer free."

"Why me?" I stopped with my typing and looked at her. "Why not one of the boys?"

"It's a girl to girl orgy and Yoongi wants to watch." She said with a serious face as all my blood drains from my face.

"Just kidding, I just want you to be there. You help me with the company when I was out."

"Okay. I'll go. Thank you, for inviting me." I said as Jessie smiled and went out.

My phone rang and it was Ken. I answered it and he was waving at me on the other side. "Hi Beautiful."

"What's up?" I asked

"Checking if my chances are up today..." He joked. "I got promoted."

"Congrats!!! You were eyeing that promotion for a year now!"

"I wanted to tell you first." He said as he smiled. "I miss you."

I didn't answer. Ken licked his lips and sighed. "Don't be like this Jaehee. It feels like I'm trapped in a room with no where else to go if you would talk to me like you're editing everything you want to say."

"I'm sorry Ken... I just don't like you to— hope for something I guess."

"It's too late for that now. I'm hoping— but for a miracle." He said jokingly. "Jaehee, just— bring my old Jaehee back. I wouldn't say unnecessary things like I love you. Bye— I need to work now."

"Bye, Ken— I miss you."

"That's more like it." He waved his hands and the call was over.

Jessie was right, it was easier with Ken. But Ken doesn't make my heart flutter the same way as Jin's four messages does.
