When I arrived from Ilsan, Ken was waiting outside my apartment holding flowers. Jiwon and Amy was left at the car with the twins. Jessie and Jinri came to see me home and exchanged meaningful look at each other.

"Ken, I presumed?" Jessie said.

Ken smiled at her smitten by her beauty. "I'm Jinri. She's Jessie. She's married to a man you don't want to cross." Jinri quickly quips causing Ken to look at me nervously. "Eonnie, let's go Jungkook is waiting for us. Let's leave them alone."

"She's your boss right? She's—"

"Super hot?" I chuckled as I motioned for him to get inside the apartment. "She's nice, too. Why are you here?"

"I was gonna say scary but— I want to talk to you. About... us. If there's a chance for us."

The words didn't came as quickly as it should we just stared at each other.

"Ken... Can I be honest with you?" I said. This is better. Better than leading him on to something I know I can't give.

"Can you at least break it to me gently?" He chuckled. "I know you like him. I just want to make sure if you really want to be with him. If you're not, even for just a tiny bit, I'll be waiting. I love you, Jaehee. Ever since I saw you. It's just seems... you became my friend and somehow I don't want to lose that."

"If you told me that years ago. I would've said yes. I just— I just..."

"You found somebody else? Hoping he feels the same way about you? The same way I'm hoping for you?" Ken said as it leave me speechless.

"I'm going back tomorrow. If you change your mind, live in Japan with me. I can get you a job. Your mom lives with your brother anyway. I'll be waiting..."

Ken planted a kiss on my lips. "I won't be holding my breath but I'll wait Jaehee. This time I'll do the waiting."

When Ken opened the door, another face shocked me. It was Jin, on his way to knock but startled by Ken opening the door. Ken smirked at me and went out barging against Jin.

Jin smiled at me. "I'm guessing that didn't went well for him."

You chuckled at his expression. Just like that, all the hurt you felt when he left you for Hyuna vanished. Jin's face becomes relaxed knowing that I'm not mad at him.

"What are you doing here? Why did you leave your dorm!" I said remembering what Jinri said.

"Sweetie, not you, too." He said. "Let's talk at your rooftop."

It was a few minutes of silence as we watch the sunset. Jin didn't even gave me a glance.

"How's everyone? I figure you're back at your dorm if you're here."

"I went straight here. Hobi said you'll talk to me this time. Namjoon's sad. Jan and him... they stopped their little game."

"They look so good together. They both seem happy during Jessie's wedding."

"That's what you get when you try to involve yourself with someone while you're still hanged up over somebody." Jin said.

The way he said it seems he was not talking about Namjoon but himself.

"What's wrong with that? If you're happy with the new one... if she takes away the loneliness you're feeling over your old heartbreak, shouldn't that be enough to at least try?"
