Everyone except Maggie and Enid take an SUV to this place called the kingdom. When we park, I hop out of the back seat and walk over to look around a bit. Rick asks Jesus, "it's called "the Kingdom"?"
Jesus answers, "yea, I didn't name it."
"How much farther?" I ask him, my eyes scanning.
"Well, technically, we're already here. I mean, we're always here, but here we are -- at the Kingdom." He points to the wall, "well; its outer edge."
Daryl opens the truck door and calls out, "hey, what the hell we waitin' on?"
"Waiting for them." Jesus points behind me. I turn around and when I do I see two men on horses the sound the hooves on the ground getting louder as they approach.
As they get closer, they call out, "who dares to trespass on the sovereign land of the -- Oh, shit. Jesus, is that you?" The two men stop their horses and they ask, "who are all these people, Paul?"
"Hi, Richard." Jesus greets the man who asked, "nice to see you."
"It's good to see you, too. Your friends, who are they?" He asks again.
"This is Rick Grimes." Jesus explains, "he's the leader of a like-minded community. These are some of his people. We would like to request an audience with King Ezekiel."
Richard gets off his horse, so the other man follows suit. He walks over and says, "get out of the car." As everyone starts to pile out, he says, "you say they're a... like-minded community. Like-minded how?"
Jesus answers for us, "we live, we trade, we fight the dead. Sometimes others."
That grabs Richards attention as I see him eye Jesus when he said it. He nods, his hands on his hips heh directs, "line up."
Daryl, clearly pissed snarls, "okay. This is a waste of time. Come on. Let's go."
Richard says, "maybe you're right. The King is a busy man. And it's a dangerous world. We don't usually allow a pack of strangers to waltz through our door."
I decide to comment and explain, "all we want to do is make the world less dangerous, and we are all here to show the King how serious we are about that."
He looks at me as I speak, then around at everyone else, "the car stays outside. You gotta hand over your guns."
Rick agrees, "we only have two." He takes his and hands it over, Carl doing the same.
Richards takes them then says, "okay. Follow me."
As we get inside, I can only imagine what everyone is thinking. My eyes widen at what I see. People, everywhere. All working and being a community. It's like Alexandria once was but on a much larger scale. As we walk through, Michonne comments, "they have the numbers."
"But can they fight?" Rosita asks.
Jesus answers, "oh, they can fight."
"Maybe." Daryl mutters lowly.
I turn and say out, "Morgan?" He comes closer to us, "Hey" I say with a smile.
"Hi." He smiles back.
Richards asks, "how do you know each other?"
I answer as Morgan and Rick hug, "Rick, Morgan and I go back to the start."
Morgan hugs a few others and Richard tells us, "well, the King is ready to see you."
We all start to follow him into a building and I hear Rick ask, "did you find Carol?"
Morgan answers, "I did, yeah." But that's all I got out of the conversation before I was out of hearing distance.
