It was funny how I had been sleep for the past two months and now that I wanted to sleep I couldn't. Then again I never could fall asleep in unfamiliar places. My morning consisted of the nurses and my doctor checking in on me and in the middle Chance walked in when they were about done. He said he would be back but I didn't expect him this early. He walked over and kissed me on my forehead causing the two nurses in my room to gush about how much he cared about me and how he was here almost every day watching over me.

After hearing that I decided to let go of whatever animosity there was between us on my part and be thankful for all he had done. He stayed out of the way as the nurses did there thing, luckily they were done with all the embarrassing shit. Then the doctor came in and asked how I was feeling today and I told him I was feeling good.

"Now that your up I want to talk about your overall health," he looked serious as hell and he had my scared like I was seriously sick or something, "How often do you go to your general care doctor?"
"I don't go to the doctor at all," I admitted.

"So when you get sick?"
"I wait it out or take medicine. I don't get sick like that anyway."

"Lucky you and I'm surprised since when we admitted you, you had a bit of a vitamin deficiency and your iron was extremely low most likely due to your diet. While your in our care we can monitor you but it's recommended get your vitamins either by diet or I would even suggest a women's multivitamin."

"I'm going to make sure she makes some diet and lifestyle changes once she leaves here," Chance spoke up sounding more like my dad then whatever he was to me at the moment.

"Please do and see about getting a primary care doctor."

"She will," Chance assured him and the doctor nodded and told me to ring the nurses station if I needed anything more and left. Once he was gone I turned my attention to Chance.

"I can speak for myself you know."

"I know you can but I know you and he's right your diet is...terrible. You don't cook so all you eat is processed junk, cereal and hot pockets and chips."

"And?"

"And all of that junk is going to catch up with you in a few years so it's best to change some things now while your young. How do you expect to get back 100 perfect if your not eating properly?"
"Whatever," I waved him off not ready to give up my snacks. Snacks..I could go for some hot cheetos right about now...

"As your man it's my duty to look out for you."

"I never agreed to date you...again."

"And you never broke up with me either," he got that look in his eye and moved in towards me and gently rubbed my hair which probably looked like a birds nest, "And we both know you don't want to break up with me."

He leaned down and I gulped as he leaned down to kiss me thanking the nurses for providing me with toothbrush and a toothpaste. As he got closer I closed my eyes waiting, anticipating for him to kiss me and after a few seconds all I heard was him chuckling. I was confused to why he was laughing until I realized the heart monitor I was hooked up to was going haywire. Chance leaned in again this time catching me off guard like he was going to kiss me only for him to place a kiss on my cheek before pulling away.

"You say one thing but your heart says another."

"Shut up and stay away from me."
I was embarrassed so that was the reason for my sudden attitude and also because he was lowkey right.
"Fine," he held up his hand but he was still smiling as he walked over to take the sit he was previously occupied. He stayed with me for most of the morning and when he told me he had to go I hid how much I didn't want him to go even though he got on my nerves. He kissed me on my forehead and soon after he left Tiffany and the boys showed up and in her hand was food from Missy's restaurant.
