"Hey mom! We have visitors!"

"Oh really? Who is it?" Mom stepped into the room. "Oh! Lillie! Welcome back!"

Mom walked up to us and looked at Lusamine.  "Are you Lillie's mother?"

"Yes. My name is Lusamine," Lusamine shook Mom's hand. "I'd actually like to talk to you for a minute, if you don't mind."

"Could you three step outside for a moment?" Mom asked.

"Yeah, sure," I said. Lillie, Gladion, and I went outside.

"So, Lillie, what kind of adventures did you have in Kanto?" I asked.

"Well, I got to battle the gyms, and earned all 8 gym badges!" Lillie said excitedly.

I was genuinely surprised. "Wow, that's amazing."

"I even challenged the Pokémon league. I got through the elite four, but I lost to the champion."

"What's your team?" Gladion asked. He also seemed surprised that Lillie had grown so much.

"Actually, I was thinking I should show you. Sun, I challenge you to a battle!"

I was taken aback. Lillie had changed in the last three years. She had way more confidence compared to the scared girl I had met at the bridge.

I grinned, "Absolutely."

"Yay! Good luck," Lillie said cheerfully.

"Oh really? I think you're the one that needs luck on their side." I said with a cocky smirk.

I sent out an Alolan Raichu , and Lillie sent out a Clefable.

"Raichu! Psychic!" I called out.

"Clefable! Shadow ball!"

My Raichu was faster, and landed the psychic before her Clefable launched the shadow ball, instantly knocking out my Raichu.

"Ok then. Go! Snorlax!"

The battle continued until we were both down to one pokémon after her Venusaur was knocked out from a burn after finishing of my Decidueye.

"Go! Lycanroc!" I sent out my Dusk Form Lycanroc.

"Go! Ribombee!" Lillie sent out her pokémon. However, sparkles exited the pokéball as a shiny Ribombee emerged.

"Where did you find a shiny Ribombee in Kanto?" I asked.

"Actually, I captured her as a Cutiefly before I left for Kanto," Lillie said. "Ribombee! Solar Beam!"

As the Ribombee charged a Solar beam, I quickly crossed my arms, and activated a z move.

"Lycanroc! Splintered Stormshards!"

Lycanroc howled as dozens of rocks rose into the air. He jumped and dove into the Ribombee, followed by the rocks.

The dust settled, and we found Ribombee fainted. Lillie returned her to her pokéball.

"Nice match Lillie!" I said.

"Well, as I expected, you won," Lillie said.

I heard clapping, and looked over to see Lusamine and Mom applauding our battle.

"Nice job Lillie! You really give Sun a run for his money!" Mom said.

Lillie giggled. "Thanks."

"What were you two talking about?" I asked.

"Well, as I've been absent from the Aether Foundation for so long, I'd like to see what changes have occurred in the last three years, and also deal with some possible legal trouble, so I was just asking your mother if Lillie could stay here today, and possibly overnight."

"And I said that you're always welcome!" Mom said.

"Cool! I was kinda worried about that. Thank you," Lillie said, smiling.

"Speaking of that, Mother and I should be on our way to Aether Paradise," Gladion said.

Lusamine nodded, "Gladion is right. Have a nice day, you two!"

Gladion and Lusamine started their way back to the Marina.

"I'll be inside if you need me," Mom said before going inside. She winked at me while she was closing the door, and I felt my face heat up, which Lillie thankfully didn't notice. Thanks Mom.

"So, what do you want to do today?" Lillie asked.

"I don't know. What do you want to do?" I asked.

"I was thinking we could just go around Alola, one island at a time. You know, because I haven't been here in three years?"

"Yeah, we can do that."

*****
Ok, adding an author's note a long time after I published this.

Sorry about the abrupt end, my computer didn't save back when I wrote this.

Please do stick with me. I know this is bad but my writing has improved substantially since I wrote this. I promise you won't be dissapointed later. I may take Christmas Break to just rewrite this entire arc. Actually give it a title, make it much less cringeworthy, etc.

I'm only adding this authors note after an edit that made that I just wanted to point out because of how stupid it is. No really, I am like simultaneously punching myself and laughing.

Venusaur can't be poisoned. Like why didn't I even think about that? So, I switched it to a burn, because for one that's actually possible and two it's much more likely for Sun's team to have some way to burn than to poison (yes, Toxic, I know, but I don't care).

Ok that's all for now. Again, please bare with these first 6 chapters.

Peace.
