Lillie and I strolled along the boardwalk, fingers interlaced as we chatted about different things.
"Hau ended up face planting into the dirt," I said.
Lillie tried to hold back from laughing, but let out a giggle, accompanied by a cute smile.
"Was he ok?" She asked.
"He was fine. He laughed it off," I said with a smirk. We had reached the other side of the boardwalk. The main path stretched onwards, leading to Route 17. However, a branching path caught my eye.
Lillie noticed me gazing at the path and, curious, asked, "What's down there?"
I racked my brain for the answer. "It's a lake and some giant structure, if I remember correctly. Want to go check it out?"
In response, Lillie excitedly led me by the hand down the path.

As we neared the end of the path, we were met with quite the wonder: a giant doorway composed of old, cracks stone bricks, with remnants of a much more ancient, much larger structure hanging at the sides.Lillie paused, staring at the lake and the structure.
"Wow..." Lillie said, so quiet it was almost a whisper.
We continued forward, passing two signs, one intact, one crumbled. We slowly walked across the bridge towards the massive doorway, taking in the sight before us.
Entering through the doorway, we found ourselves in what looked like an altar. Stairs led up to a faded painting, pillars on either side held stone carved in the shape of what looked like a bat.
Lillie gazed at one of the symbols. "What is that? It looks vaguely familiar..."
I scoured through memories of the last few years, trying to put my finger on it. At last, the answer came to me. "That's the symbol of Lunala, the Legendary Pokemon of the moon. She's the counterpart to Solgaleo."
Lillie walked to the center of the altar, where a large, slightly faded, light blue painting of Lunala's symbol was. "We should bring Nebby here, see what he thinks of it."
I strolled up next to her. "Yeah, we should."
Lillie's Z-ring glinted in the sunlight. She had given the sparkling stone to Olivia just about a week ago, and hadn't even used it yet.
Lillie turned towards me. "Well, where do you wanna go next?"
"I guess we-"
I was cut of by what sounded like thunder. I glanced at the sky to find it clear.
Lillie frantically looked around. "What was that?"
I scanned my surroundings. The thunder boomed again. This time, I saw a ripple through the air just a few feet away from us.
I said one word. "Run."
We scrambled to get away as, with a final boom, an ultra wormhole tore open behind us.
I instinctively reached for a Pokeball to take on whatever came through the wormhole. However, nothing emerged from the portal. Instead, the hole started to suck air in. It uprooted some bushes, which flew into it. A few bricks sailed through the air, plummeting in.
Lillie and I gripped the edge of the planters to avoid getting sucked it. We said nothing to each other, but I could hear her heavy breathing along with the blood pulsing in my ears.
Just as the hole started to close, the brick Lillie was holding cracked and broke off, sending her screaming into the hole.
"Lillie!" I let go of the planter and hurtled towards the portal. Lillie's hand gripped mine as I passed through.
We sailed past many wormholes leading to different worlds. I pulled Lillie in, holding her close as we raced into one.
*****
We found ourselves falling. We had appeared high up as we plummeted towards the ground.
Lillie buried her face in my chest and tried to take a deep breath. I saw her mouth move but couldn't tell what she had said.
Lillie's bag flew off her shoulder. She screamed as her Pokémon flew out, trapped in their Pokeballs. That gave me an idea. I quickly fished Raichu out of my bag, and threw the ball as hard as I could at Lillie's Ribombee. The two balls collided and both Pokémon surged out.
With a few seconds to spare, I yelled a command to Raichu, "TELEKINESIS!"
Just in time, we slowly came to a stop a few feet above the ground. I glanced over at Raichu, who was straining himself to keep us up.
"You can release us now."
Raichu obliged, and we fell to the ground. He floated over and promptly passed out next to me.
"I think I'm gonna be sick..." Lillie said. Her Ribombee fluttered over to us, it's red scarf blowing in the breeze.
I took a deep breath. "At least we're alive."
Lillie rolled off of me, and crawled over to see if her Pokémon were ok. After getting Raichu back into his Pokeball, I scanned our surroundings. We were on a beach, with a rocky rise in the direction of the rest of the island.
"Where are we?" Lillie asked.
"Ula'ula beach. In some alternate dimension." I stared up at the sky. It had been noon back in our world. In this one, it was midnight.
"Where do we go?" Lillie was pale, and obviously very terrified. Or in shock, considering we had nearly died. Probably both.
"Pokémon center, near the bottom of Lanakila. We-"
I was cut off by a voice coming from the rise. "You two ok?"
I looked over to see a girl with medium length black hair and dark eyes. She seemed about the same age as Lillie and I, and wore black and red shoes, short green shorts, and a tan shirt with a yellow and pink floral pattern that was a size too big, and so was tied up. She had a bag slung around her shoulder like a purse, and she had a red beanie with a white Pokeball pattern on her head that had somewhat of a flower design, causing three little nubs to sprout at the tip.
I stood up and walked towards her. As I got closer I realized she looked eerily like me.
"Uh... yeah, what makes you ask?" I stammered out.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you just fell out of the sky." The girl rolled her eyes. That's when I noticed a Z-ring on her wrist.
I shook my head. "Who are you?"
The girl blinked. "You're not from around here are you?"
I chewed on my lip. "It's... complicated."
The girl snickered. "Figures." She smiled. "My name is Moon, and I'm the champion here. Welcome to Alola."
Bum Bum Bum.
God it feels good to post a new chapter of something. I started writing this a long time ago, but just now got to finishing it. Hopefully I'll have more motivation in the future.
Anyways, I wanna keep this short. Because, me being me, it's 2:00 a.m. and I kinda wanna crash.
So I hope you enjoyed, blah blah blah.
Peace.
