Being champion is great, don't get me wrong.

But sometimes, champion duties are... less than fun.

Ok, it may just have something to do with my hatred of school. Everything about it. Which is why I went to trainer's school once before dropping out.

Sure, I did an online education program while in Kanto, mostly because Kanto has no schools. But even that was a beginners training program.

Being a trainer matters a lot. Not to mention that is pretty much the only education you need. To understand Pokémon, and especially battling, you need a lot of skills necessary for college anyways. Not to mention that it's actually fun to learn on your own instead of wasting your time in a classroom for multiple hours a day.

Which is why it's sort of ironic that I'm a guest at the very trainer's school that I dropped out of. Thanks Hala.

"Is it true that your Kommo-o can withstand a Moonblast, even though it's four times weak to it?" One boy asked.

I nodded. "Yes, he in fact can. He's done it many times, but I try not to rely on that, because you never know when that Moonblast will be a critical hit."

Another boy raised his hand. "Can your Raichu really catch people out of the air with its Telekinesis?"

I smiled. "Yep. And that saved my neck not too long ago."

"Can we see it?" One kid asked excitedly.

"Now, now, class. Let's not ask too much of him..." the teacher began.

I waved my hand, reaching into my bag. "No big deal."

The kids were in awe when Raichu bursted out, curiously looking around the classroom before floating up to me. I mindlessly scratched behind his ear, much to his delight, as an older girl in the back raised her hand, her friends giggling.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Hiromi, this is about Pokémon ..."

"It's fine. It's fine." I said. "Yes, I do. And I daresay she's a stronger trainer than I am."

Just then, the bell rang, and my torture ended. The kids filed out of the room, talking in their friend groups.

"Thank you for coming today. I really appreciate it!" The teacher said.

I returned Raichu to his Pokéball. "No problem. Have a nice day."

I stepped out the door, only to be met by a voice behind me. "You really think I'm better than you?"

I turned around to find Lillie leaning on the wall by the door, a bag in her hand.

I grinned. "Well, yeah. You probably are," I said, giving her a quick kiss.

Lillie giggled and held up the bag. "I brought food."

You never realize how hungry you are until you're presented with food.

We took a quick walk to Kala'e Bay, sitting down next to the water and eating our malasadas.

I stared at the horizon, the sun still high above it. It had been a few months since we had returned from another dimension, one where in my place was a rash girl named Moon.

Lillie rested her head on my shoulder. "What's up?"

I glanced at her. "Oh, nothing. Just... thinking."

Her hand found mine, our fingers lacing together. "Whatcha' thinking about?"

I sighed. "It's just... everything seems so normal. And... I don't know what it is. I feel like the normalcy is temporary. Like something bad's going to happen and throw our lives into a cyclone again. I don't want that. I just wish we could-" I gestured to our interlocked hands. "Stay like this for a while. Without anything disturbing us."

I felt her lips meet my cheek, a slight blush creeping up my face.

"Well, let's enjoy it while it lasts. How about that?" Lillie said.

I smiled, laying my head on hers. She let out a small sigh of content, squeezing my hand.

"How's your mom doing?" I asked.

"Mother got the Aether Foundation back on track, and they're using the labs as medical facilities instead," Lillie replied.

"And the frozen Pokémon are out, right?"

Lillie shifted uncomfortably. "Actually, they..."

"Don't finish that thought. Sorry I brought it up," I said quickly.

"It's fine. It's fine," Lillie reassured me. "Do you wanna stay there tonight?"

"Huh?"

"At the Aether Foundation. You wanna stay there tonight, for a change?" She asked.

"Would Lusamine be ok with that?"

Lillie shrugged. "Mother wouldn't care. She lets me stay at your place all the time. She trusts you. Honestly, I think Gladion would be more upset by it."

"Yeah, but I don't really care what he thinks."

Lillie giggled that sweet, contagious laugh that never failed to make my heart skip a beat.

"Ok. We'll try it," I said.

Everything was perfect.

So why do I still feel like something's not right?

"What's happening?!" Soliera cried.

There were gasps of shock and cries of horror echoing throughout the streets as my team ran towards the tower.

We had no time. No second to spare.

I threw down my Beast Ball, Naganadel's massive form flying out of it. I heard another Beast Ball open behind me, along with the cry of a Celesteela.

We were on top of the tower in a matter of seconds.

I had seen hundreds, maybe thousands of wormholes in my time, but never one this big.

"Dulse!" I yelled.

Another Beast Ball, the mechanical cry of Solgaleo.

"Close it!"

The sun's mark appeared on Solgaleo's forehead, and the wormhole began to close.

Of course, this is the time that it decides to come back.

Its cry echoed through the city, and everybody froze.

A heartbeat, and Solgaleo was down, Necrozma on top.

A final Beast ball, but the Pokémon doesn't matter.

Necrozma didn't even look at us as it soared into the wormhole, which closed behind him.

Dulse panted behind me. "Captain?"

I twirled my mustache. "This could be a problem."

Yay Prism!

I have no time for a note, sorry!

Edit: I changed the duration between Reflection and the beginning of Prism to help with continuity. Don't mind it.

Peace.
