Lights flicker. Loud footsteps. Pokéballs grabbed. Door flung open.

It's been the same routine for nearly a week. We see Zeraora, we fight it a bit, it escapes.

No closer to home. If anything, Lillie and I are farther. We had already tried catching it. It broke out every time.

"I am done with this thing!" Moon yelled after another escape. "No matter what we do, it always breaks out!"

Lillie yawned. "We need a break. Just a day or so to clear our heads and figure something out."

Moon took a deep breath. "Ok. Ok. You two do that, if you want. I'm going to keep trying." And with that, Moon flew off on Charizard.

Lillie sighed. "She's something, alright."

I clicked my tongue. "Yeah, I never realized how irritating I could be." I looked over to Lillie, who was chewing her lip.

"Well, you're... ok, yeah, you can be irritating. Sometimes," she said.

I chuckled. "Way to be blunt."

She smiled. "Well, other people are more annoyed by you than I am. It's just one of those things that... well, it's part of your personality. You wouldn't be you without it. Some people just find it irritating. Heck, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would find me irritating."

I scoffed. "What about you would annoy people?"

Lillie dug around in her bag. "My lack of confidence, my impulses, my constant worrying."

I blinked. "First off, your confidence has grown substantially, your impulses are nobody else's problem, and concern just shows that you're thinking of someone."

Lillie smiled and blushed. "You're so sweet, you know that?"

I laughed and pulled out my ride pager. "Ok, where do you wanna go?"

Lillie chewed on her lip again. "Have we ever stayed at the Hano resort?"

I thought about it for a second. "No, I don't think we have."

I sent out Charizard, and we got our gear on.

I love waking up naturally. I've woken up to alarms and calls several times in my life, and I hate it. But when I wake up without an alarm, I feel great.

It's even better when I wake up with Lillie in my arms. She has the most adorable sleeping face, with that slight smile of contentment.

I lightly touched foreheads with her. "I love you," I whispered.

Of course, my holo caster had to ring. Thankfully, I was able to silence it before it woke Lillie up.

I kissed her forehead. "I'll be right back," I whispered.

"Took you long enough."

"How did you get my number, Moon?"

"It's mine backwards."

I groaned and leaned against the wall. "What do you want?"

"I just want to ask you to let me know if you see Zeraora. It was spotted Akala a few hours ago," Moon replied. "By the way, nice hair."

"Yeah, whatever. Goodbye." I hung up, heading back into the room. I climbed back in bed, and Lillie snuggled into me. I couldn't help but smile.

I brushed her hair out of her face, my hand lingering on her cheek. I planted another kiss on her head, and pulled her close.

"I love you. Don't ever leave me," I whispered.

She blushed. I chuckled. "How long have you been awake?"
