My eyes opened and were met with the bright morning sun. I sat up, yawning and stretching. I looked over to Lillie to find that she was still sleeping, so I quietly grabbed some clothes and head to the bathroom to change.
I came back to grab my bag and hat. I caught a glimpse of Lillie sleeping and tried not to focus on how adorable she was and stop it Sun, stop!
I quietly gathered my stuff and went into the main room to get breakfast.
My mom was already up, and was making some french toast.
"Good morning, Sun!" she said cheerily.
"Morning, Mom."
"Is Lillie awake?" she asked, reaching for the maple syrup.
"No, not yet," I said as I sat at the table.
"Well, breakfast is ready, could you go wake her up please?"
"I mean, she took a boat here from Kanto, and immediately after she got off we went and explored half of Alola, then we had a party. I think it'd be better if we let her sleep."
"Aww, you're worried about her, that's so cute," Mom smirked at me.
My face went hot. "I-i mean, I was pretty exhausted when we got here from Kanto. I-i just don't think it's the best idea, ok?"
Mom rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on Sun. You know there's more to it."
I buried my face in my hands. "Mom..."
She laughed. "Ok, I'll stop teasing you."
About five minutes later, Lillie came out of my room with a set of clothes in her arms.
"Good morning!" Mom exclaimed.
Lillie yawned. "Good morning..." She head into the bathroom.
A few minutes later, she came out. Strangely enough, her hair wasn't in a ponytail. Instead, it was braided at the front, and the rest was let down. She had a white dress on instead of the shirt and skirt.
"Oh! You're wearing your old clothes," I said.
"Yep."
"And... you seem quiet," I tilted my head.
Lillie sat down. "I try to seem cheery, but I'm not much of a morning person."
My mom gave us each a slice of french toast. "Well, both Sun and I are, so if you're gonna stay over, keep that in mind."
"The difference is that I'm much more calm than she is," I snickered.
Lillie giggled. "I don't understand how."
"He gets that from his dad."
"That makes sense," Lillie nodded.
I took a bite of the french toast. "So, what you wanna do today?"
"Will we be able to do anything? Because, you know, you're champion."
"Yeah, league battles are only open every so often."
Lillie's eyebrows raised. "Oh, I didn't know that. How about we explore the rest of Alola?"
"Yeah, ok."
*****
Several hours later, and we landed at our last location, Exeggutor Island. I returned Charizard to his pokeball, and Lillie walked forward, looking around.
"I haven't been here in a while," I said.
Lillie looked back at me. "Remember when we hid from the rain under there?" She pointed to the little indent in the cliff.
"Yeah, I do."
Right as I said that, I heard a feint plop, and then another, and I felt something cold hit my skin.
"And it looks like we'll have to do that again," I said, looking up at the sky, which was a bit cloudy.
We sprinted to the indent, just barely getting there before it started to pour.
Lillie laughed. "Of course it starts to rain right as we talk about rain."
"Yeah. Maybe a Pokemon used Rain Dance."
"Yeah, maybe." Lillie gazed at the rain outside.
"Last time we were in this situation, you were taller than me."
Lillie looked at me. I had in fact grown in the last three years and was now taller than Lillie was.
"I hadn't even noticed."
I laughed. We were both looking at each other. I decided that if I was ever going to tell her how I felt, it would be now or never.
I sighed. "Lillie, I, uh..."
Lillie tilted her head. "You what?"
I took a deep breath. "Ever since we met, it's just been... and adventure, for lack of a better term. You helped me through an island challenge, we went through Ultra Space together, and, frankly, there's no way I would've become champion if you hadn't been there the whole time. These past three years have been really hard without you here, and, well... I guess what I'm trying to say is that-"
Lillie cut me off by pulling me into a kiss. I just went with it, and it only lasted for about five seconds.
After we separated, I snickered. "Couldn't even wait for me to finish my sentence?"
Lillie shook her head. "I've been waiting three years to do that, I just wanted to get to it."
"I guess I can accept that."
We kissed a second time, this time longer.
"So, are we just going to wait for the rain to stop now?" I asked.
Lillie snuggled into me. "Yeah, and keep each other warm."
"Ok then, sounds good to me."
And that is the end of Shining Sun!
...Or should I say it would be if this book didn't get so much support!
This book has five hundred reads and sixteen votes! Jeez guys! Thanks!
So, because of that, I'll continue the story. BUT, I have no clue what I should do next.
That's where you guys come in! I'd like you guys to suggest a scenario I should chuck these two love birds into! It could be something small, that would only take one chapter, or it could be a multi chapter story line.
Comment down below your suggestions. Don't worry, I'll make sure to shout out the one who suggests the scenario after each chapter.
But, until then, I hope you enjoyed the first story line of Shining Sun! Next, well, I'm kinda thinking of doing a My Hero Academia story, or maybe a Danganronpa one. Lemme know which of those two you'd like to see. Personally, I'm leaning towards Danganronpa.
Or maybe I'll just do both. We'll have to see.
See ya guys in the net chapter!
Peace.
