Chapter 6

"Cisco, I need you to run a simulation for me," Y/N said storming into the Cortex.

Cisco furrowed his brows, "What kind of a simulation?" he pondered curiously.

"The data from the suits, our health, vitals, everything from the day that Barry and I fought Thawne and went into the speed force, do you still have it?" Y/N asked.

"Umm...I should, the suits should store that kind of data indefinitely in the S.T.A.R. Labs Main Frame, just let me look," he said typing away on his computer, moving through several files."Yeah, I have all that information still, it's here if you want to see it," he said moving to the side.

"When did Barry wake up?" Y/N asked, analyzing the data, she knew what she saw, but she wanted someone else to confirm.

"He woke up when we brought him back from the speed force, when I found him he was still out like a light," Cisco joked, although he stopped smiling when he saw that Y/N remained with a stone cold expression.

"Cisco, look at the data again, look at when his vitals spiked when he started moving," Y/N said flatly.

Cisco reexamined the data carefully, only to see that Barry had woken up 3 days before he was brought out of the speed force, he could have come home himself, but he chose to stay.

"Why? Why would he stay in the speed force when he could have come home?" Cisco questioned, turning to Y/N for some answers.

"I don't know," she replied, tears brimming in her eyes.

"Y/N-"

"He said her name, the past three nights I haven't slept, because Barry, who I thought was having a nightmare, now sleeps with a smile on his face, and he happily says Iris's name in his sleep..."

"Have you told him what happened to you on that day?" Cisco asked.

She shook her head, "I was going to three days ago, in the morning, and then that happened," she said, her voice trailing off as she began to cry.

"I'm sure that there is a reason that he stayed in the speed force for so long," Cisco said in an attempt to reassure Y/N.

"Really? He chose to stay in the speed force, living whatever fantasy with Iris, and he left me, you, all of us here...alone," Y/N said raising her voice slightly. "He let all of us believe that he was dead, that he was gone, meanwhile he was living his dream life with someone else that isn't me," Y/N finished, storming out of the Cortex, leaving Cisco behind, she wiped her tears as she made her way to the elevator, passing Joe on her way by. He tried to stop her but she pushed through, not wanting to speak of what she now knew about Barry Allen...her so-called perfect husband.
