"What do you mean Patty is the situation?" Barry asked worriedly.

"I just got out of a meeting with her and Singh, she isn't here on vacation in Central City. She's been reassigned here," Joe explained.

Y/N shrugged, "What's the big deal about that?" she asked.

"She's my new partner," Joe said flatly, clearly feeling tense about the situation. "Singh paired us together since we worked so well in the past."

"I thought she left to go be a CSI in Keystone City?" Barry asked.

Y/N agreed, "Is there any way we could get her to transfer back, I'm this can't be permanent, right?" Y/N asked, her gaze shifting between Joe and Barry.

Joe shrugged, "She wanted to transfer here, she has a rap for metahumans. That's probably why Singh was happy to have her come back."

Y/N peered over Barry's shoulder and into Singh's office, "Well, he doesn't look thrilled with her at the moment," she said noticing how he was yelling at her.

"I wonder why?" Barry asked.

"Trust me, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough..."

---------------

The two speedsters would find out, though they might not be glad they did. Singh had contacted Joe to get a hold of the Flashes and have them come by the precinct later that night.

Y/N and Barry skidded to a halt in Singh's office, he was pacing around, clearly looking nervous, or stressed about something.

"Captain," Y/N addressed.

"Flashes, I'm sorry we couldn't be meeting on better terms," he replied. "I think we may have an issue."

Barry furrowed his brows, "Does this issue have anything to do with a Detective Patty Spivot being back in town?" he wondered.

Singh was taken back by what Barry said, "How did you know that? It doesn't matter...yes."

Y/N sighed, "What does her being back in town have to do with our issue?"

Singh turned to Y/N, "That's the thing...Patty Spivot is the issue," he explained. "She came to me earlier today about starting an anti-metahuman task force."

Y/N was confused, "But you disbanded that task force on account of the Flashes having a handle on the metahuman situation in Central City."

"I know," Singh replied. "But technically I can't deny that metahumans are still an issue in this city. Besides, she went over my head and went to the Police Commissioner. It's out of my hands," he explained.

Barry turned to Y/N with a worried look on his face, "I get that this isn't your fault, but I still fail to see how this is an issue," Barry said.

Singh sighed, "The anti-metahuman taskforce will be hunting down all metahumans...including the Flashes," he explained grimly.

Barry and Y/N both took a step back away from Singh. "I don't know if you've noticed. But we are two of the very few metahumans in this city that don't want to hurt anyone," Barry added.

"I know," Singh tried to reason. "I don't support the task force, and I personally will not be on it, meaning I won't be hunting you two down. But Patty has the right to put anyone on that task force that she wants."

"The Mayor gave us keys to the city, medals of valor. What happened to us being heroes?" Y/N questioned.

"Technically, you could be viewed as vigilantes," Singh explained. "I don't know why Spivot is so hell-bent on the Flashes, but she is."

"Wait," Y/N interrupted. "Even if she did arrest us, what would she charge us with?" Y/N asked.

"Kidnapping," Singh answered flatly. "There is no doubt that some of the metahumans in this city are too much for Iron Heights to handle. When metahumans like that arise you two typically take them somewhere, I'm assuming it's a metahuman prison of your own...but technically you don't have the right to serve justice like that."

Y/N scoffed angrily, "Then I think this is the last you'll be seeing of us for a while," Y/N said heading for the door.

"Look," Singh said stopping them. "I'm trying to fight this, I'm trying to get the Flashes safe from all of this. I need time, maybe you two could talk to Patty, reason with her?" Singh suggested.

Y/N looked down, and then to Barry. "I don't know...but I'll tell you this, arresting either one of us is not in your best interest," Y/N warned before she sped off.

Singh then turned to Barry, "She's not wrong," Barry added before speeding off after Y/N.
