Dianne's POV
My hands turned clammy as I pick out my best dress. I'm going to meet up with someone I'm going to marry without the total idea on who he is.
After taking a bath and dressing up, I walked towards our restaurant. I saw Janus leap down from a roof just ahead and went towards me.
Dianne! He stopped short and looks at me Wow, you look pretty!
I blushed a little Thank you, what brings you here?
He gave me a piece of paper and as I read it, I'm surprised that there will be a sparring competition and the winners will recieve a hundred gold coins as a prize!
What do you say? You want to join the Valor?
I replied in determination Of course! I'll win and get the prize money, no matter what! It'll help in this problem of mine!
He grinned Then, we'll see each other in the arena.
I blinked What? You're joining, too?
Yeah, but just think of me as a backup person in case you'll lose.
I made a face Do you think I'll lose to you in a sword fight?
Who knows? He grinned Remember our trainee days? I've beaten you in a one-on-one.
This time, in the Valor, not only I'll get the prize money but also the title of being the strongest in the Clan. Well, I have to go, see you, Jan'.
Yeah, bye.
Janus' short POV
When Dianne passed me, I longingly looked at her and said to myself I promise you, Dianne, I don't care about being the strongest in the Clan, I care more for you.
Dianne's POV
The shop is already deserted and me and my father are waiting for the Nightingales to arrive. I'm really nervous that I could hear my breathing.
