Kiyan's Deviation

Third person's POV

Kiyan somehow recovered from his injuries and Anastasia went home with him. She wanted to talk to him just to lighten him up a little but his eyes are lifeless.

When they arrived at Liliana's house, Dianne and Elsa are also there and greeted him cheefully but Kiyan barely heard them and entered his room.

Elsa asked in concern I wonder what's still wrong with him?

Liliana said to them Give him time to recover, we all know that he's a tough person.

Liliana and Alexander felt responsible for Kiyan's state. The two walked outside and stood on the porch. Alexander leaned on the guardrail It should've been us who are there scouting instead of Kiyan and the rookies.

Liliana stood beside him Yeah, and, Kiyan, despite that he's physically strong, is emotionally weak right now.

Alexander frowned What do you mean?

She sighed Nothing, it's just a feeling. She thought If I tell them that Kiyan lost his squad and only he survived, they might think ill of him and freak out.

Later in the evening...

Alexander set the table and Liliana called Guys, dinner is ready. Janus and the others immediately went to the table when Stein noticed an empty seat Where's Kiyan?

Janus stood I'll call him. He went to their room and saw Kiyan sitting on the bed, staring blankly on the floor Ki', dinner is served.

Kiyan looks at him with insipid eyes Leave me.

Janus shook his head and grabbed his arm to pull him Come on, don't be hard-headed.

Kiyan forcefully pulled his arm Just get out of here! Leave me alone!

Janus frowned at Kiyan's change of attitude and silently left him.

He fumed as he sat on his chair He doesn't want to eat and he became angry when I insisted him to eat. Liliana and Alexander looked at each other with concern Don't worry, Jan', we'll talk to him later.

After their dinner, Alexander and Liliana entered his room and sat next to him Kiyan, what seems to be the matter with you?

Kiyan couldn't bear to look at them I'm a failure, nothing more.

Alexander said What happened exactly to the scout? You did deliver your report to us.

Kiyan had a few moments of silence, recalling his squad's death like a bad dream before tears ran down from his eyes I don't want to be reminded of it again.

Liliana patted his back It's okay, I just want to remind you that you shouldn't burden yourself with what happened to the past for it will make you sick. When you feel like talking with us, we're always ready to listen.

Liliana nodded at Alexander and they went out.
