Kiyan's POV

I don't know how long I was out but I woke up still in the forest, I clearly remember how my squad is killed. Tears immediately filled my eyes I-I fail as a leader, I let everyone die because of me..!

I gritted my teeth, angry at myself If only I didn't let myself get caught, things would never end this way!

Everything is my fault.

I tried standing but there is a sharp pain on my left leg. I look at it and there's an ugly scratch on it. I pulled some bandages from my coat and patched it up. I winced in pain as I slowly stood then hobbled towards my dead squad members.

They all died terrible deaths - Treyjan was stabbed, Sayo has two large lacerations on her chest, Kane has six deep slashes and probably bled to death. Kerya's throat is ripped, and Ameli has this deep wound on her back which came from the scythe that lady in red threw at her.

This is a sight that I will never forget I don't deserve to be a leader, I led my team to slaughter. But still, I have to finish the quest Chief gave us and this is probably the first and the last mission I will ever take.

I took their bands and gave them a warrior salute for the bravery and sacrifice they did here. I don't have anything to dig up earth and bury them so I hid them deeper in the forest.

I limped towards the river for our horses are there. I drank thirstily and rode my horse, I also tied the other horses with me and started my way back to Masamune Clan.

I may have this stinging sensation in my leg, bruises on my chest and head but I feel nothing at all. The sun may be bright and sunny but it seems dull and gray.

Third person's POV

Gah!! Elsa is blown away and slumped on the ground as Sylvana tackled her. She coughed twice then struggled to her feet Not yet! She poised for action when Sylvana lowered her guard It's almost night, Elsa, this is enough training for today.

Elsa let down her weapons Okay, Miss Sylvana.

When Sylvana left, Wilhelmina went beside and gave her a handkerchief Don't you think that's too harsh for your training?

Elsa shrugged I think not, we're about to go to a war and everyone has their intensive training. How about your training with Erica, did she hold back?

Wilhelmina chuckled She's also rough but training with her really improved my skills. The two walked together, watching the others in their training.
