A few weeks have passed...

Azalea's POV

It seems like Chief is out to declare a Clan War against the Masamune Clan - he ordered me to scout that Clan and, right now, I'm standing outside their enormous wall.

So this is their first line of defense, it would be difficult to breach the wall. I sighed and kept my claws in my travel inventory As long as I don't attract attention to myself and blend in the crowd, things should be easy.

I went to the woods to change my outfit then entered the Clan. As I observe closer, this Masamune Clan seems like a peaceful Clan. I thought as I saw that there are a lot of swordsmen and swordswomen on the prowl Maybe I should scout at night first, that way there are less people.

Nightfall...

Rain fell hard this night and it quite ruined my plan to scout There's no choice, I'll just continue. I made a running start then leaped to grab an eave of a house and pulled myself up the roof. I saw that there are also scouts at night but it's my expertise on getting past scouts in the night.

I walked around the Clan on rooves of houses to observe everything and draw a map of the Clan later on so that the Chief would have some sort of tactics to infiltrate this place.

Lightning streaked across the sky, lighting up the place for a second then followed by a booming thunder.

As I leap to the next roof, I cautiously observed my surroundings Area is clear. I walked a few steps and to my surprise, a voice of a guy asked Who's there? There's a flash of lightning - seeing a person not far from me, he's wearing some kind of mask that covered his identity and, no wonder I didn't see him, he's wearing all black!

He demanded Who are you? From the weapon you have there, I'm pretty sure that you are not from here.

I gritted my teeth I've been compromised! I immediately ran away from the masked figure.

Third person's POV

Azalea made a dash away from the masked man and he followed after her. As she leaped to a nearby roof, she grabbed two kunai knives that are hidden under her white cloak and threw it towards him, he pulled one of his greatswords and hit the kunais away. She leaped down an alley, looking up and seeing the man also leap down.

She leaped away as the man swung his sword and destroyed the ground as it missed her.

She thought as she ran with the man still on her heels If I was hit by that, I would really be cut in half! Azalea had no time perform a vanishing spell, the man grabbed a dagger from his lower back and threw it at her.
