Chapter 7

Letting the playful McAkiro Morgan get in my life was the biggest mistake I've ever committed.

Now I was suffering the consequences of that mistake.

I was not in the lake behind the Safronov castle, I was beside the lake where we first met. The lake where he threw my unconscious body the night he betrayed me. This lake had the ability to calm and angered me at the same time. It had the ability to be bitter and sweet at once.

"Why are you alone? This is a dangerous place for a girl." Natigil ako sa pagtitig sa lawa at lumingon sa lalaking pinanggalingan ng boses. He had a playful smile, a smile that worn by men who only wanted to have fun and no responsibilities, the kind of men I hated the most. He had leafy green eyes, white blond hair and two dimples on his cheeks.

"Who are you?"

"This is a dangerous place for a girl." He repeated.

I am, for your information, the dangerous girl, I wanted to say but willed myself to keep quiet.

"I don't want to be inside." Tumingin ako sa grande hall na malapit lang dito sa lawa. Ngayon ang pagdiriwang ng Annual Royal Party ng mga agencies. Sa tingin ko ay hindi pa naman ako kailangan sa loob. "I want fresh air."

"Well, let me be your company to make sure that you're safe, helpless girl." He smirked, pleased with himself. As if he thought I wanted his protection. He really thought I was one of those damsels in distress who needed a boastful prince charming? Pfft.

"I don't need a protection from a man. I could handle myself just fine."

He laughed playfully, as if I'm a three year old who was asking my mom to show me Santa Claus. I felt insulted.

"You're one of those bloody feminists."

"You said feminist as if it's a poisonous word." I said, clearly annoyed.

"Of course! They are ruining the minds of society. They go around naked just to prove that men couldn't touch them even if they were naked! And oh, don't give me that look. I'm telling the truth. It was shown in TV." He smirked at me, completely pleased that he proved his point.

I smirked back. What did he think of me? That I would just accept a defeat in an argument?

"I really hate videogames! It's a poison in the society! Bloody video games!" I stomped my feet to add effect.

The man infront of me was clearly confused. I knew who he was now. He was Prince McAkiro Morgan. I only knew him when my dad was teaching me the personalities of the different royalties, since they were my enemies, I should know them. And based from my memory, this was the irresponsible prince who loved video games.

"You said video games like it's a poisonous word." He said, clearly annoyed.

"Of course! They are ruining the minds of society. Most video games promote violence. Don't you know that there are mass murders linked to violent video gam—"

"But it's not the fault of video games! I am playing video games and I don't commit mass murders, except for missions of course. My point is, all gamers are not the same! The problem is not the video game itself, the problem is how they handle video games. How they let video games affect—"
