Chapter 2

My smile was victorious as I roamed around the palace the next day. Wearing my corporate attire and my red hair in a bun, I visited the headquarters.

Nang makita ako ng mga agents ay sabay-sabay silang yumuko sa aking direksyon. Naglakad papalapit sa akin si Agent Damien, kahit sa paglalakad ay wala pa ring bakas ng ekspresyon ang nakakaakit niyang mukha.

"I do not know that we will have our meeting today, your majesty. I don't prepare them. I apologize." Paghingi ng paumanhin ni Damien Ozera sa aking tabi. Ang isa niyang kamay ay may hawak-hawak na pulang mansanas na may kagat. Nginitian ko lamang siya. Ever since I was a teen, I already admired this man. I had never found a man as responsible as him. Why couldn't I just fall for a guy like him? Why did I need to fall for a man opposite to him?

Life would be so much easier if I would fall for an intelligent, well-behaved and responsible guy like Damien Ozera. But that was life for you, it would never make things easy.

Lumawak pa ang ngiti ko nang makita ang paghanga sa mga mata ng aking mga miyembro sa tuwing susulyap sila sa akin. Indeed, after that quest, I could feel their trust regaining again. Their faith that faded was slowly returning its way to me.

As I was walking around the headquarters, Agent Eve stood from her seat and walked towards me. Her curly blonde hair was bouncing as she walked.

"Your majesty, may I have a word with you?" She asked when she was already infront of me.

"Fire away, Agent Eve." Sagot ko habang naglalakad sa tabi ng pader kung saan nakalagay ang mga larawan ng mga naging pier agents ng Safronov.

"I was just wondering... how did you defeat the prince of Morgan? Don't misinterpret my words but.. I'm just curious."

I smiled. My eyes automatically found Agent Lian and Agent Meg. Our eyes met and we chuckled.

"Well, it's like this..." I said and told her the whole story.

I was driving my Venom GT, the bag of money was sitting on the passenger seat. Bibili ngayon ng mga armas ang Safronov. Pinindot ko ang aking earpiece upang kumonekta agad kay Agent Meg.

"Agent Meg, did you get what I asked?"

"Yes, Your majesty. I already have the bag. May I ask, what is this for?"

"I'll tell you later. Meet me at the crossroad."

I ended the call and couldn't erase the smile on my face. If you could not outfight them, outsmart them.

If you knew that you could not defeat a man in a fight, then defeat him using your brain. Easy.

Hininto ko ang aking Venom GT sa crossroad at hinintay si Agent Meg. Paulit-ulit ang tingin ko sa rear view mirror at sa paligid, naniniguradong walang sumunod sa akin. Ilang minuto pa ang lumipas ay dumating na rin si Agent Meg kasama si Agent Lian.

Lumabas kami ng kaniya-kaniya naming mga sasakyan. Yumuko silang dalawa sa aking harap.

"Nagawa niyo ba ang pinapagawa ko?"

"Opo, mahal na reyna." Ipinakita nila sa akin ang itim na bag.

"Iyan ang ipapalit niyo sa transaksyon." Pag-uutos ko sa kanila.

"Pero mahal na reyna, hindi po ito tatanggapin ng mga magbebenta sa atin ng armas kung ganito ang laman."

"Hindi talaga nila yan matatanggap dahil bago pa nila yan makuha sa inyo, paniguradong isasabotahe na tayo ng mga Morgan. Gusto kong makuha iyan ng mga Morgan."
