Chapter 14

I rested my forehead against the steering wheel letting out a sigh.

I felt a hand on my shoulder blade, "It's going to be okay. He'll understand." Alex's voice soothed my worries a bit.

I lifted my head and looked out the window, "Yeah I guess." Mako is really the only one who has to worry.

I got out with Alex following. The shirtless Mako slowly and carefully got out of the car.

"You sure you don't need anything to cover your torso?" I asked seeing that he was shivering.

He shook his head and started limping towards the restaurant.

"Whatever." I followed him with Alex's hand in mine. 

She squeezed me hand for reassurance, "He'll understand."

"Yeah." I honestly wouldn't know. I haven't done something this big and kept it from Bolin. I just hopes he will understand.

We walked through the doors and saw it was busy as usual. We walked to the counter see Bolin writing something.

"Hello. What can I ge-" He stopped when he noticed it was us.

"Hey.... Bolin." I gave a small sad smile.

He looked at Mako and his eyes widened, "M-Mako?"

Mako nodded shyly, "Yeah..."

Bolin jumped over the counter and tackled him in a hug, "You're okay!"

Mako hissed in pain but hid it quite well from his attacker. "Yep. Thanks to Sapphire and Alex."

Bolin pulled away and looked at Alex and I. He smiled, "Noodles on house!" He jumped over the counter, "But you're helping, Sapphire!" He yelled.

I rolled my eyes and jumped over the counter.

"So, Yapa is gone....." Bolin said sadly.

I nodded slowly, looking down at my bowl of noodles, "Yeah."

I felt a hand squeeze my thigh light in reassurance. I looked at the hand and smiled. I looked up at Alex still smiling. She smiled back showing love in her features.

"Are you going back to school?" He asked.

"I might. I going to have to make up a lot of work." I groaned and leaned my head on Alex's shoulder.

She started combing her hand through my hair relaxing me a bit, "We'll be there." she said.

I sighed not wanting to argue.

"Well see you guys there. I have to get back to work. Mako come help me." Bolin said cleaning up his dishes.

Mako nodded and followed.

"I miss her." I whispered.

"I do too." she whispered. She kissed the top of my head.

"You think you can carry me home?" I asked.

"Why?"

"I'm going to sleep."

"Sure."

I moved onto Alex's lap facing her and cuddled my face into her hair. I wrapped my arms around her neck, "Thanks...."

Then darkness took over.
