Chapter 37

Brandon’s Point of View

It has been 2 months since Callie moved to Texas and I was there. Since then I had to go back to New York for school. The band and I entered into a park show in Texas (around where Callie is) where record producers come to see the talent. I am really excited because the whole family is coming down and we are surprising Callie. 

We just landed in Texas and we are going to the hotel then I am meeting the family so we can get Callie. I already talked to Alison about it and she thought it was a good idea so she is helping us. I don’t know why, but I am really nervous. Not just for the show tomorrow, but for surprising Callie. It’s almost like I think she won’t want me to be here and she won’t want to see the family! But I am trying to calm myself down because Alison says how she always talks about us and how much she misses us.

The taxi pulls up to the hotel and the three of us get out and check into our room. We get there and it’s really a nice hotel. Our room is a three bedroom suite that the school payed for since they truly believe we are going to get something big! 

“Holy shit! This place is huge!” JJ says as we look around. “I call this room!” he runs to the room with a huge bathroom inside. Max goes into the one just across from his and I make my way to the one on the other side of the suite. Each room is just like a master bedroom. Huge bathrooms, big beds! This is really nice for just staying a couple of days.

I put my things down as my phone starts to ring. I look down and see it’s my mom (Stef) calling.

Phone Call

B-Hello?

S-Hey B, we are at the hotel. Where are you?

B-My room. Meet my at the place I sent you.

S-Okay, see you then.

End of Call

I hang up and walk back into the living room where Max and JJ are sitting on the couch watching TV.

“I am going out. I will be back later.”

“K! Have fun!” Max says with a wink. They know that we are surprising her so they have to tease me.

“Shut up!” I say as I walk out the door and go get a cab.

We pull up to Callie’s huge house and I see everyone standing at the bottom of the driveway.

“Hey B!” Jude says while coming up and hugging me since I haven’t seen them since I left to Texas that night.

“Hey!” I hug him back. I give everyone else their hug and then I pull out my phone and text Alison.

‘We are at the bottom of the driveway.’

‘Great! Coming down now.’ She replies quickly.

“Callie is living in a huge house!” Jesus says surprised.

“Yeah, they have a farm. It’s really nice!” I reply. I look over and see Alison walking from the back of the house.

“Hello Brandon!” she says giving me a hug. Since I first met her she has grown to love me. She gets all excited when I call or FaceTime Callie that she has to come in and say hi to me. She says she supports Callie and I’s relationship. But then there is Mr. Quinn (James). He doesn’t like me that much. He doesn’t even let me call him by his first name like Alison does.
