Hot Java is a coffee shop just off of main street. The hip establishment featured great coffee, not your chain store version burnt stuff, this was slow roasted right in the back of the store. Music was an eclectic mix of Jazz and Indie. Just the right level for good conversation or reading from your nook or kindle. But the real gem of Hot Java was the chef. He daily created comfort food and sandwich's both items that men on the road miss a lot. As such Hot Java became the de facto kitchen for all ACTS security. When they opened at six the security teams arrived for breakfast and of course some of the sweetest coffee they were never able to get at home.
Outside in the white panel van sat three wolves taking video and notes on the actions of each man. The data was streamed via the internet to pack headquarters where more wolves read and filed that data into paper folders so Alpha and his top wolves had the data at their fingertips.
Inside pack headquarters Alpha pointed to the file in the center of the table. “This man takes a daily walk through the woods each morning after breakfast to work off the full meal he had just eaten. He will be the one we take first. Is the bunker ready?”
Max answered. “We have worked on it all night and we are ready. No one is getting out of there without being lead out. IT has put in the cameras and the feed runs to the new security room in the bunker and to your office.”
“Good work Max. Pass my thanks to all the wolves involved. Now tell me how you plan to capture this man and what you are going to do to him when you have him.”
An evil grin broke out across Max's face. “You are goin to love this one Alpha. I plan on taking a group of ten men with me. Eight will be in wolf form and will surround the man in the forest. Lot's of howling and growling running in front and behind him. We will terrorize him in hopes of making him pass out. If not the wolves will circle him then we will hit him with a tranquilizer dart then wrap him up and get him to the bunker. Our plan is to shackle him in a standing position with his arms over his head. There will be two wolves chained with collars to the opposite wall, stationed in the room with him at all times. I have told them they can snarl and growl as much as they want. They can easily break their chains, because we sawed through 70% of the it. When they think the wolves can't hurt them the interrogator will enter and start asking questions. When the fool attempts to put on a hard case attitude one of the the wolves will attack. I will be the interrogator so I can hold the wolf back. It's something I saw on a law and order show. The one guy holds the other guy back and the first guy tells the suspect he had better tell the truth before he has to let his partner loose on him. Whacha think?”
“I think you watch to much TV Max. But let's try it your way first. If that doesn't work I'll come in and take over. Did you make me that try of surgical tools covered in blood?”
“It's in the interrogation room covered with a surgical drape so nothing is visible until you are ready to use it.”
“Then lets get started. They should all be arriving at the coffee shop about now. You have your target. Let's make this happen with the least amount of trouble. I want it quick and clean.”
“We're on it Alpha.”
Max left the room and the headquarters and drove downtown parking about four blocks from the Hot Java. One of the wolves got out of the car and checked to see if the target was at breakfast.
He returned to the truck moments later and said to Max, “He's there and he is almost done. He ate light today. Looks like a muffin and coffee. We should get ready.”
